If your holiday plans centre around the beach, you will find plenty of sun-kissed shorelines to enjoy, with Ajman City alone offering 16 kilometres of pristine, powdery sand.

As well as being able to top up your tan, the warm waters of the Arabian Gulf are perfect for swimming. A variety of water sports are also available, including paddle boarding, banana boat rides, windsurfing, jet skiing, kayaking and snorkelling.

The capital, Ajman City also has plenty to offer away from the sand, with options for culture, shopping and unrivalled entertainment. Visits to Ajman Museum, Al-Murabba Watchtower and Aamnah Bint Ahmad Al Ghurair Mosque are perfect for those seeking an insight into Ajman’s rich heritage, while you can enjoy a traditional Arabian shopping experience at the atmospheric Saleh Souq.

Another superb option if you’re craving a little retail therapy is to spend the day in the incredible City Centre Ajman mall, where you can access a multitude of international high street and luxury brands, as well as family-friendly dining and entertainment venues.

There’s also plenty of fun for families across Ajman, with Aqua Bounce floating obstacle course, where you can challenge yourself on climbing walls, balancing beams and swing ropes.

For a more tranquil experience, head to the Al Zorah Nature Reserve, home to a vast mangrove forest and an array of bird species, including flamingos and herons.

Travellers will also find plenty of opportunities for adventure with the Hajar Mountain range a great spot for hiking and mountain biking, while the desert landscape allows for 4x4 safaris and authentic Bedouin camping experiences. Other activities on offer in the dunes include camel rides, sand boarding and falconry displays.

The luxury spas and wellness facilities that can be enjoyed during an Ajman holiday might be more to your liking. An array of exceptional hotels and resorts offer indulgent packages, with guests able to choose from a number of treatments and massages to revive their senses and rejuvenate their bodies.
