The British Colonial Nassau is a very nice hotel. It was clean, welcoming, and in a convenient location. My friend was already at the hotel when I arrived, so I left my things in her room and went to explore the town until the scheduled check-in time of 4:00 p.m. The young lady who checked me in was very nice and helpful. She was able to switch my room so that I could stay on the same floor as my friend, which was amazing. When I entered my room, I was really impressed. It was very clean, smelled good, and was nice and cool. Although I was mainly in the room to sleep and take naps, I still enjoyed it. The beach is located directly behind the hotel and is literally just steps away from the elevator. The hotel is within walking distance of the Straw Market and the downtown strip. It is also a short drive from the Fish Fry and several fast-food restaurants. I did not dine at the hotel because when I travel, I prefer to eat where the locals eat. In my opinion, that is where some of the best food can be found. The hotel also has a very organized transportation system, with taxis readily available whenever guests leave the property. Overall, my experience was a 10 out of 10. Every staff member was respectful and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Nassau.

For clarity purposes, We didn't actually stay here as hotel guests. We purchased day passes to use their private beach. We did a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas and decided we wanted somewhere calm and quiet to just lay around and chill in the water. This place was perfect for that. The passes included lunch and lounge chairs with access to their pool. The lunch wasn't anything special but the private beach is excellent. The water was calm and clear. It was so calm that these little fish swim right up to you and I was able to cup my hands under them and pick them up. My son loved that part the most. The water is shallow with the deepest part reaching a little over 6 feet. We spent 5 hours there and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away from the touristy spots and just enjoy the beach.

My partner and I stayed here Sept 18-21 for our birthday weekend and had a lovely stay. From the welcome when we walked in we felt welcomed. Selvinique, on the front desk, was very friendly and warm and even made the effort to remember our names during the stay. We used valet for our car and the guys were prompt, mannerly, and friendly. Bahamas hospitality was unforgettable. We booked a king suite and loved it. The room was spacious and recently updated, with a lovely bathroom. The only thing that would’ve been nice for a suite is a microwave. The room service ladies were friendly and the place was very clean. Drinks at the Tavern were also well made, loved getting to take those onto the beach! Would definitely stay here again!

This place is so clean and has excellent staff. I dont have a single complaint. I will be back for next year's independence day!! And many more to come. I loved this place. Great access to the beach and pools. Plenty of places to sit and lay out. It was stunning

Our stay was unfortunately very disappointing. This resort seems to cater more to cruise ship visitors than guests staying for a week. Almost everything closes by 4:00 or 5:00 p.m., leaving only one restaurant with a very limited menu. Our kids ended up eating burgers most nights because there were so few options. None of these basics were explained at check-in, so we had to figure everything out ourselves. They also advertise a hot tub, but when we asked about it, we were told it was actually at another hotel, which was very misleading. Even the "balcony" was really just a ridiculously tiny terrace that was far too small to comfortably enjoy. The room also had several issues. The shower had no curtain or shower door, causing water to splash everywhere, and the water pressure was terrible. Although the room sleeps four people, there were only two mirrors, both located in the bathroom, with none in the main room. Four girls trying to get ready every day made things very inconvenient, especially with everything closing so early. The one bright spot was the overnight staff, Perry and Shannon, who were incredibly kind, helpful, and always willing to answer our questions.
