I would like to state that the British Colonial Hotel has truly come a long way (for the better). The staff are warm, friendly and engaging. The property has been upgraded to a Five Star level and the pool and beach areas far exceeded my expectations. I must give kudos to some of your shining star employees who have truly shown how to proudly represent the British Colonial brand. Upon entering one of your restaurants, there is a young lady with a short hair cut, superstar employee. I cant remember her full name but it starts with the letter A. She is very professional, consistently made eye contact and was very receptive to assisting not only myself and my group, but other customers with all of our questions or concerns. She is truly a gem. I also want to mention another young lady who is also very professional and a true asset to your team. Her name is Sterline. She is clearly on the right path in her professional career due to her excellent personality. She came to our table on numerous occasions to ensure we were ok while doing the same for other guests. She truly represents your brand very well and both ladies are more than deserving to receive what ever employee recognition awards your property offers. Kudos also to your front office team, they did a great job during check in and check out and I also wish to say a great job to all of your front door men. My group and I will certainly be returning. The hotel and staff are excellent overall. The hotel location is really ideal for both walking and taxi rides. The biggest weaknesses here are the in-hotel restaurants which are very pricey and have less going for them than most nearby restaurants in downtown Nassau. You can take a cab out and back from the Cricket club, the fish fry, or Blue Sail or other choices and do far better, and in most cases cheaper too. The only in-hotel food option we liked was the Trading Post take-away.

My stay at the British Colonial was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect right in the heart of downtown Nassau and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, attractions, and everything you want to experience while visiting the Bahamas. ( Very busy as this is the cruise ship docking area) What truly made my experience exceptional, however, was the outstanding service provided by Crystal at the Red Pearl, located on the British Colonial property. Crystal’s service was nothing short of immaculate. From the moment we met her, she was warm, welcoming, professional, and genuinely pleasant. Her personality alone made every visit enjoyable. Not only was she attentive and personable, but her knowledge of the island, local cuisine, and Bahamian culture added so much value to our experience. She took the time to answer questions, make recommendations, and share insights that helped us enjoy Nassau like locals. She made us feel more like family than guests. If you’re staying at the British Colonial and heading down to the beach for food or drinks at the Red Pearl, do yourself a favor and request Crystal. When I say she is a 10 out of 10, I mean it but honestly, she deserves a 1000 out of 10. Her customer service, positive attitude, and genuine care for guests are unmatched. Crystal played a huge part in making our vacation memorable, and she is a true asset to both the Red Pearl and the British Colonial. Thank you for making our experience so special!

Just amazing, We were so glad to have found this hotel and all because of ResortPass! You get a genuine feel for the resort and now we know we would love to stay at this resort in the future. It was a great deal to get the cabana package, including food (delicious) drinks. We had beautiful and quiet beach access. We ended up seeing and swimming with a manatee! Lifeguard was there to insure baby was not bothered, you do not touch the manatee. The baby likes to stay in the safe and tranquil area at British colonial resort. You get a cool picturesque view of the cruise ships if you like that! It is absolutely walking distance from the port. This hotel service did not disappoint. many thanks to staff. great job!

We had a day pass for a Cabana for 4, 4 non alcoholic drinks, and 4 lunches. They have a safe for your items and charger for your phones. They also had free wifi. When we arrived, we were told we had 5 options for our included meals and for the drinks, soda, bottled water or na daiquiri. We got 2 daiquiri and 2 waters. We ordered lunch from the items we were told were included at 1 pm. We also ordered some alcoholic beverages (margarita and mojito). Waitress brought 2 margs, instead of the mojito. We waited an hour for her to bring the correct drink. Our lunches didn't come until 2:45, almost 2 hours later. Then we got a bill and they were charging for the meals snd daiquiri. For the inconvenience of waiting for food and drink they just charged us for a round of drinks (so basically just 2 drinks). Just be careful if you are using a voucher to be sure you aren't then charged for included food and drinks. The cabana was beautiful. Pool was beautiful. Clean beach. Security. Would definitely recommend a day pass. We had slow service, but hopefully it was a fluke!
