Wowwww wowwww and again wowww We were supposed to stay at cape kudu for 6 nights and we extended our time in the hotel because we had the best time there. We travelled with a 16 years old, a 8 year old and 2.5 years old. The staff was amazing and gave the kids a lot of attention. The room were beautiful and clean, the breakfast was delicious and all the activities in the hotel were unbelievable and unique. We had yoga 3 times a week, a painting class, a cocktail party, a trip with a boat to 3 islands, a trip through Ko ya noi, an ice bath- all with courtesy of the hotel. We will definitely come back!! Loved everything about this hotel and their amazing staff!!!

The hotel really is as good as it looks in the photos (July 2026). Our deluxe room was beautiful, spotless, and overlooked a lovely garden with mature trees and even a distant glimpse of one of the islands. Spectacular views of Phang Nga Bay from the restaurant and pool area. Just across the road, less than a minute’s walk away, is a quiet waterfront with breathtaking panoramic views. A leisurely five-minute walk brings you to Pasai Beach, which we thought was one of the natural highlights of the island. In July the island was wonderfully quiet, and on several occasions we had long stretches of beach almost entirely to ourselves. If you’re looking for peace rather than crowds, it’s hard to beat. The staff were outstanding throughout our stay—friendly, patient, and always happy to help. Housekeeping was excellent. They somehow managed to clean the room while we were at breakfast, then returned later in the afternoon with extra bottled water and, on some days, complimentary macarons. Small touches like that made the hotel feel genuinely special. The whole place is exceptionally well run. There’s a relaxed, classic seaside atmosphere, helped by the collection of beautiful vintage sports cars parked outside. You can’t rent them, but they add a lot of character and give the hotel a timeless feel. There are lots of thoughtful extras too. The free mountain bikes are proper, modern bikes, making it easy to explore the island. There’s also a lovely guest lounge with board games, a billiards table, and an unlimited cookie jar that we probably visited more often than we should have! We ate at the hotel restaurant several times and were impressed by the à la carte menu. The food was consistently very good and we happily returned for dinner on multiple occasions. Breakfast was good rather than exceptional, but considering the hotel’s size and island location they do an excellent job. The egg station, fresh roti, and healthy juice blends were particular highlights, and there was enough variety to keep breakfast enjoyable throughout our stay. Hiring a scooter is definitely the best way to explore Ko Yao Noi due to hills and heat. The roads are quiet and easy to ride, and the hotel provides an excellent guide to the island, also including complimentary activities, recommendations for places to visit, and private boat trips to suit a range of budgets. Cape Kudu is one of those rare hotels where everything just works. Beautiful rooms, exceptional staff, thoughtful little details, and one of the most peaceful settings we’ve experienced in Thailand. More than anything, it has a special atmosphere that’s difficult to describe until you’ve stayed there. It was the highlight of our trip, and we can’t wait to return.

TLDR: lower your expectations. - Let’s start with the good part: Staff and overall service were great. We received a free massage package and K. Nan and K. Mai were very knowledgeable and expert at their trade. The hotel has some free but limited activities to discover and enjoy the island. The extra selection of pillow types is also nice for those who find their default pillows too high/thick. - Now let’s move to the less so good part, which is much longer: While Cape Kudu rates itself as a 5-star hotel, we were very underwhelmed, and think it deserves 3.5 at best. The upkeep and maintenance of the place was quite subpar. Little details that don't want you to go back: chemical smell in the room, dirty spots on the couch, damages in the bathtub (yes your butt will feel it), crooked toilet cover, leaking coffee machine that gives an electric shock when I tried to turn if off (it also doesn’t fit in its space). Cape Kudu positions itself as a resort, but the food doesn't really keep you in the compound. Breakfast: while selection is wide enough, not much of the cooked food is tasty... eggs were the only consistent hot dish. A la carte menu: we tried one of the most recognized southern Thai dish, the massaman curry tasted nothing like it... And as other reviews pointed out on Google Maps, somehow it takes a while for the food to arrive. It's a nice little boutique hotel that tries hard to be a 5-star resort, but little details just keep it out of reach. We usually leverage loyalty networks whenever we travel, but this SLH hotel will unfortunately not be on our patronage list.

stayed for 4 nights at Cape Kudu. From the moment we checked in, the staff were super polite and friendly! All staff speak English and are easy to understand (more so than some english guests) Breakfast is really good quality and finishes at 10.30 which i think is very reasonable. Iced coffees and teas available at breakfast and also have an egg bar which makes fresh eggs to order. Pool villas are very fancy and all areas of the hotel were extremely clean. Theres a cafe 1 min walk down from the pool open until 10pm and also a private beach area with a small cocktail bar. Food and drinks are quite expensive but good quality. A few restaurants within walking distance if you prefer to eat away from the hotel. Excellent air-conditioning in the hotel rooms which didnt make my throat sore when we had it on all night. And the spa! Amazing spa offering all sorts of treatments Auh and Nan gave us a couples foot massage and they were so so good. Decent sized pool and also an adults only pool which we didnt go in as there were no children staying whilst we were there. Swim only at high tide as the beach and sea is very rocky at low tide. Theres a tide chart at reception to show you the times to swim. They also can transfer you to and from the pier for around 500thb. the only 7-11 is in town - 12 minute scooter ride away. Not walkable A great, aesthetically pleasing hotel.

14 days of pure happiness. Cape Kudu is exactly what we’ve been looking for : beautiful location, beautiful pool, amazing service (kuddos to Jenny and all the restaurant team) - they were all very smiling, available and very thoughtful - and the pool villa was great. The food is truly excellent and we never got bored of it, you don’t even have to move from your sunbed during lunch as there is always a staff member available. They have quality liquors and wine. Their spa has European standards (I did one facial) and a lot of the activities are free! We loved every second of our stay. True luxury !
