We initially booked for 2 nights on Booking and got a cabana garden view which was probably the one cabana with a view of the back of the toilets so dark and no view of the beautiful gardens in this extensive jungle style hotel. It should be sold at a lower rate with warning however it didn’t spoil our stay as we booked for another 4 nights. Due to us not having plans we moved room another 2 times which gave us a good understanding of the different rooms on offer. We got a nice room far back from the beach which was a fab room but not if you want to be near the beach. The last few nights we took the top end cabana , huge with a few touches of luxury. Overall I rate the rooms well. This is an amazing garden , you feel like you are in the jungle and it’s the strength of the hotel. Overall this property is dated and could do with some upgrading but the location and beach is the best on the strip. The beach is beautiful with great loungers , attentive bar staff and they do 2 happy hours per day with good value drinks. The breakfast is good but not the best in Thailand , terrible coffee but the Thai coffee is delicious. The staff are all friendly and can’t do enough to help. There are lovely clean pools if you want a pool but the beach is so good we did not use it. They also gave an app that you connect to on arrival advising of all of the deals , u can chat with receptionist and order laundry to be collected. There are great local restaurants on the Main Street and an Italian which is managed by an Italian if you get sick of eating the same thing. Ask which Cabana you are getting when you book and you can’t go wrong. Would stay again.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the GSA department at Centara Koh Chang. From manager Dao to trainee SomSom, the entire team showed outstanding professionalism, kindness and genuine warmth. Special thanks to Bas, Sky, Shein and Sannie for making my stay truly exceptional. My original plan was to stay for two days, but thanks to them I ended up staying six days — which says everything. Congratulations as well to the Human Resources department for the excellent staff selection. This group of young professionals has made my stay at Centara one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Beyond the staff, the hotel itself is spectacular: beautiful facilities, excellent breakfast, great amenities, very comfortable rooms and an outstanding housekeeping service. Everything is perfectly taken care of. Centara is definitely an excellent choice in Koh Chang, and the GSA team plays a key role in making the experience so special. From the very first moment, you are welcomed with a smile — and that is truly priceless.

This hotel is old and it doesn't appear there have been any upgrades. Everything is old and dilapidated. The only good thing I can say is the staff here is absolutely wonderful. The food in the restaurant is just average, not good but not bad. The bathroom in our room was disgusting. All the furniture on the property is extremely uncomfortable, and all the cushions on the furniture is stained both in the rooms and by the pool. You cannot swim in the pool because the pool water was so cold. Just not happy with this place at all.

A very good resort to stay. I made a reservation for two days and I extended two more days. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are good like any other Centara resorts. Staff is good and friendly. Only recommendation I would make is to get additional coffee machine or make some black coffee. Longest wait is the coffee line.

An amazing resort. Unbelievable staff who are focused on making your stay absolutely memorable. The staff, from the front office to the gardeners are polite, focused and kind. They spare nothing to ensure your happiness. Great pools, beautiful gardens and wonderful restaurants. The restaurant looks out over the beach with marvellous sunsets. An amazing place to relax and unwind. Easy walk into town with everything you could possibly want or need. Laundry services and scooter hire abound along with a myriad of restaurants and money exchangers / ATM’s.
