We had a wonderful stay at this resort. If you love spacious resorts with beautiful tropical gardens and enjoy walking or exercising, this place is perfect. The grounds are huge, peaceful, and very well maintained. It's an excellent choice for families, especially those with young children. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, and all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. We travelled as a family and were given two connecting rooms, which made our stay much more comfortable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety of food, with plenty of choices for everyone. One of the best things about the location is that there's a 7-Eleven, local shops, and several restaurants just behind the resort, only a short walk away. If you'd like to explore other beaches, you can easily catch a shared taxi (songthaew) for around 50 THB per person each way. After 11:00 pm, the fare may increase to around 100 THB per person, or you can hire the whole taxi. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this resort to families or anyone looking for a relaxing tropical getaway with plenty of space and great facilities. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I saw some reviews before booking about the lack of maintenance, aging facilities and overall experience not matching expectations from a Centara hotel. However, I decided to give it a try nonetheless based on the overall positive rating. Unfortunately, the recent reviews proved true. I booked one of the more expensive bungalows. Immediately upon entering the room it smelled musty and the old air-conditioning unit was extremely noisy with room noise levels around 45 decibels and hardly cooling. You also can’t adjust the temperature because it might break the unit (see photo). As a light sleeper, I was already alarmed at this and just being in the room during daytime was already unbearable. One of the features of the room is the outside bathtub, which hadn’t been cleaned and some broken tiles made it seem not safe to use anyway. Further inspection of the facilities were even more disappointing with no vibe at the swimming pool, staff cleaning the ice cream fridge at the pool bar because I guess low season, trash and tree branches at the front lawn next to the beach etc. The property is also located far from everything and you need to walk far to reach restaurants and shops. I couldn’t find any positive reason to stay and decided to leave. Even though I lost quite a bit of money due to no refund policy, it was the right decision to do early check-out.

Old, wornout, needs lots of cleanin and fixing. We requested our money back but since we used Agoda, it was not possible. Staff was VERY kind and gave us a better room, which was clean and had all the amenities, but it didnt really save the stay. The hotel overall seemed like it had been closed for 5 years and just reopened without cleaning or fixing. The beach front is looking like a junkyard. Centara is well know and good hotel chain and would not expect this from it.

I had such a wonderful stay at Centara Koh Chang. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature — it truly feels like staying in the middle of a tropical forest. The atmosphere is so fresh, relaxing, and calming. All of the staff were very warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout my stay. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and honestly, there’s no need to go outside because the resort has everything you need. It was a perfect place to relax and recharge. I would definitely love to come back again!

I recently stayed at Centara Koh Chang Tropicana Resort in Room 207 from 1–2 March 2026, and it was a wonderful experience. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout my stay. They made me feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of at all times. The resort itself is beautiful and perfectly suited for relaxation. The peaceful atmosphere, natural surroundings, and well-maintained facilities create an ideal getaway for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. Overall, I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Koh Chang. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature while receiving excellent service. I would gladly return again in the future.
