ChomView Hotel, Hua Hin – Honest Review I recently stayed at the Chom View Hotel in Hua Hin and found it to be a solid, good-value option, particularly for longer stays or travellers who prefer space and a relaxed atmosphere. The location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It’s close to the beach and within easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants, massage shops, and convenience stores. It’s also only a short ride to central Hua Hin and popular shopping areas, making it convenient without being in the middle of the busiest nightlife. The rooms although a little dated are spacious and more apartment-style than a typical hotel room, which is a big plus. While the furnishings need updating everything was clean and functional. Having a balcony and extra living space made the stay comfortable, especially for more than just a few nights. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. I like to make special mention about the operations manager June- she went out of her way to make my stay very enjoyable. Check-in was straightforward, and any requests were handled politely and efficiently. The hotel has a relaxed, quiet feel, which suits couples, retirees, and anyone looking for a calm base in Hua Hin. Facilities such as the pool and common areas are well maintained, though not luxurious. This is not a high-end resort, but it delivers exactly what it promises—comfort, space, and a good location at a reasonable price. My only criticism would be they didn’t really cater for a western diet having mainly Thai cuisine for breakfast but the coffee was made to order and very tasty. Overall, Chom View Hotel is a dependable choice for travellers who value location, room size, and value for money over modern luxury. I would happily stay here again. Rating: 4/5

Very dated hotel not warrant is star rating. My room behind Reception in old block was dated, no safe, no phone no Tea or coffee making facilities not even a clock. Bathroom functional but needs updating. Had to call engineer out at 21:00 one night as I had water dripping from A/C (not condensation). Would not stay here again as there was no Bar, only one pool functional and that had broken dated loungers, faded and very thin mattresses and broken parasols. The other was empty and looked like it had been out of action for a long time. Hotel was Handy for markets. Buffett Breakfast was OK worth paying for. But a wider selection for Westerners would be beneficial. (ie Bacon, mushroom, tomato, baked beans and Hash-browns).

The Hotel is old and requires good care and a good deal of renovation. The furniture and all the facilities are worn out and are stuck somewhere In the 1980s :) i stayed In the main building and the rooms there are the worst. Those closer to the beach are more expencive but they have balconies, ocean View and are better equipped. My room was equipped with a fridge and two glasses with no safe. An Electric kettle was provided on request. There was a soap bar, a shampoo and two shower caps. Neither toothbrashes nor slippers provided. However the bed was comfortable, AC worked well and everyrhing was clean. Two complimentary bottles of water appeared In the fridge after daily cleaning. The swimming pool was ok, towels were provided but the sunbeds were sun faded and old as well. The second pool was not functioning. The breakfast was satisfactory but very boring - bearable Coffee, some bread, pancakes with marmelade, eggs, some veggies and a variety of Thai food like rice or stir fried noodles. The meals were tasty but the same every Day lacking good choice for a european guest. WiFi was really great and worked everywhere on the territory. The biggest advantage is however the location - it is a two minute walk from the beach and u can enjoy the sea and the sun. Cicada and Tamarind markets are 300-400 meters away and there are enough convenience stores and eateries around. A train station is within a 5 min walk. The stuff are friendly but not all of them speak a good english. The building is under reconstruction at the moment but it didnot bother me at all. I enjoyed staying here despite all the disadvantages mentioned.

Worst 3 Stars Hotel we ever stayed in Thailand, the building was closed due to renovation (marked at the parking), but they still offered rooms! The worst thing of all, is your Reception staff, very unfriendly and look down on the customers, nothing like Thai warmth welcome. The other staffs were kind and helpful, but the first impression was already ruined by the checkin staff. We will never come back here again and were very happy to leave.

Simple , spartan rooms up a rickety elevator in this good value hotel by the beach. A large pool 80 m from the rooms overlooks the sea. No frills but the staff is lovely. Not swanky but for some that's a good thing! Breakfast optional.
