We had an amazing stay at Embudu Village. We stayed for 3 nights. The island is amazing, with a lot of life in the water and outside as well. The staff was super friendly and always there to assist with our requests. The resort was full, but we never felt that — the atmosphere is very relaxing and peaceful. The buffet at the main restaurant was good, with plenty of variety and a new menu every day. The room was okay but could be better maintained. The marine life was so cool, both in and out of the reef. Our room was on the same side as the deck and bar, and it was always calm. On the other side, where the diving center is, it’s not as calm because there is usually some wind, so the sea can be a bit rough. The island is small, so it doesn’t really matter which side you stay on. They also offer live music at the bar.

I was looking for reasonably priced islands in the Maldives that still offer an authentic Maldivian experience, and choosing Embudu Village turned out to be an excellent decision. I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The facilities are well maintained, and the island itself is kept in pristine condition. The staff are extremely polite, attentive, and well-coordinated, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay throughout. As a vegetarian, I initially had some concerns about food options, but the buffet (served three times a day) offered a great variety, and the quality was consistently impressive. During my stay, I spent two nights in a water villa and the remaining nights in a beach villa. The water villa, in particular, was outstanding and provided a truly memorable and relaxing experience. One of the highlights of Embudu Village is its natural setting. The island offers plenty of open space with lush greenery and rich fauna. Except for the beachfront areas, most parts of the island are shaded, making it very pleasant to walk around. There are also hammocks, swings, play areas, and abundant birdlife, which add to the charm. The resort also organizes activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, island hopping, and city tours to Malé. Everything was arranged efficiently and on time, with clear communication from the staff. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Embudu Village to anyone looking for a balanced Maldives experience that combines affordability with quality and natural beauty.

Our stay at Embudu Village was simply unforgettable! If you're looking for an authentic Maldivian experience, this barefoot island is the perfect destination. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and a stunning house reef with vibrant corals, it's a paradise for snorkeling enthusiasts. Swimming alongside colorful fish and reef sharks right off the beach was an incredible experience. The island's location is another huge advantage. It's only a 20 minute speedboat transfer from Malé, making the journey quick and convenient while still feeling like a secluded paradise. The food was delicious, offering a great variety every day, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always service-oriented, making us feel at home throughout our stay. A special thank you to General Manager Mr. Ramsay for his warm hospitality and dedication to ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience. Everything about our week at Embudu Village exceeded our expectations. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already dreaming of coming back. We highly recommend Embudu Village to anyone looking for a true Maldivian paradise.

Our family—including my wife, our three children, and my in-laws—recently stayed at Embudu Village (Feb 28 to March 2,2026), and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. ​The Accommodation: We stayed in the water villas, which I highly recommend. Being right over the water added a special touch to the trip and made for a very memorable stay for both the kids and the adults. ​Dining: The buffet was a major highlight for us. All three meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were consistently great with a wonderful variety of food that satisfied everyone in our large group. ​Service: From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and professional. The entire hotel staff was incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs throughout the duration of our stay. ​If you are looking for a beautiful Maldivian escape with great food and excellent service, Embudu Village is a perfect choice. We stayed at Embudu Village in May 2026 during our kids' school holidays and had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with the island all over again. Embudu is one of the few resorts in the Maldives that has preserved its natural charm. The lush greenery, towering palm trees, white sandy beaches, and crystal-clear lagoon create a true paradise untouched by excessive development. It is the Maldives as it was meant to be experienced. The island's untouched natural beauty, incredible house reef, peaceful atmosphere, and genuinely caring staff keep bringing us back year after year. From watching colorful fish beneath our overwater villa to enjoying the warm smiles and excellent service at the bar lounge and restaurant, every moment felt special.
