Unfortunately, this hotel seems to be well past its prime. I stayed here 11 years ago, and the standard was significantly higher back then. The rooms have clearly been renovated since then, but unfortunately, there are still many issues that make the overall experience disappointing: * The bathroom lighting is very dark and extremely warm-toned, with no option to adjust it. Anyone hoping to do their makeup properly will be disappointed, as the lighting makes it very difficult. * There is no suitable power outlet in the bathroom for a hairdryer, so you have to dry your hair in the bedroom. * There is no iron in the room. * The rooms lack basic amenities that I would expect from a hotel of this category, such as a toothbrush or proper hair conditioner. There is only a “conditioning shampoo”, which does not work as a substitute for conditioner and left my hair feeling dry and rough. * There is no complimentary bottled water in the rooms or even available in the corridors. This is something I consider an absolute standard nowadays, even in hotels of a considerably lower category. We booked two rooms for one night, which was the final night of our trip around China before a long journey home. Unfortunately, the USB charging ports in both rooms were mostly not working. Out of four USB ports in total — two in each room — only one worked. When I went to reception and asked for a power adapter so that we could charge our devices, the receptionist simply told me to go to 7-Eleven — in the middle of the night. As a result, we were unable to properly charge our devices and prepare for a journey home that would take many hours. For a hotel of this standard, I find it difficult to understand how something as basic as a power adapter could not be provided or loaned to a guest. English proficiency at reception was also very limited. This did not apply to every member of staff — I could hear two employees in the background speaking English very well — but unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to deal with either of them personally. I also appreciate the attempt at scent marketing in the lobby, but unfortunately it does not work particularly well in practice. Shortly after entering the hotel, instead of a pleasant, fresh fragrance, the dominant smell comes from the restaurant/dining area located just behind a partition next to the main entrance. It creates a rather poor first impression. Overall, I can only give this hotel 3 stars, and those are mainly for the comfortable bed and the beautiful view. Almost everything else needs significant improvement. What makes the situation even more disappointing is that the Kerry Hotel is literally about a two-minute walk away and is available at a similar price, while offering a substantially higher standard in terms of rooms, amenities, equipment, Wi-Fi and overall guest experience. Having stayed here 11 years ago, I expected to return to a hotel of a similar standard. Unfortunately, my experience this time was a major disappointment, and based on the current price-to-quality ratio, I would choose the Kerry Hotel without hesitation.

The view from room and from the pool deck was magnificent. Thanks to Mr. Kelvin Tam, the duty manager was very understanding and professional. Really appreciate the service I received. The promenade is literally just outside the hotel, offer nice harbour view, morning and evening walk is an absolute bonus to my stay. Whampo MTR station is just 3 mins, with Aeon mall and all good eateries in whampo and Hunghom nearby. The room felt grand and nice. I will stay there again for sure. Just one let down was the check in process. I was standing for the line for 40 mins to check in.

View is very nice, the room itself aswell. But the service at the front desk is subpar. We were told to check in at 1, when we came back at 1 we checked in, but the room was not ready, so we basically came back for nothing, waited another 2 hours. That in itself was ok, but we didn't get treated very nice. There are way too many people in the lobby, it looks like a supermarket, and not enough front desks. You get rushed through with your process. It is not high class at all. The pool is pretty nice tho, with a nice view.

Lianna Hu

Family of 3 including one infant stayed at this hotel for one month service apartment. Amazing five star experience, staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating for baby. Room is clean, no issues with noise and comfortable. We reserved a crib without extra charges. The room has black out blinds which make naps for baby very easy. Location is superb with private entrance to the walking promenade overlooking Victoria harbour. Make sure to check out the Infinity swimming pool that provides a 360 view of the entire harbour. As for dining, we tried the lunch buffet and Japanese teppanyaki buffet both are delicious. Will come again for sure.
