The best way to describe the resort is that you get what you pay for. This is a VERY economical all inclusive beach resort that is not crowded and has a laid back atmosphere. Pros: Very reasonably priced. Hard to find an all inclusive, on the beach, for this price. Water and beach are beautiful with good snorkeling right off the beach. We were in a Royal Palm room so we could stay in our loungers right outside the room all day, step right into the water and snorkel. We did not use water shoes and had no problem with the rocks. Did not have a single insect bite the entire stay. Cons: Room had a few issues. Service was adequate, no one was rude but not on par with higher end resorts. Very few of the staff looked like they wanted to be there. Food was adequate but not great. Overall good experience, for the price.

My partner and I went on our honeymoon in early January 2026, and we truly had the best time. We can’t wait to return! The average age of guests was a bit older (we’re in our early 30s), and honestly—it was absolutely perfect. It ended up being exactly what we needed: quiet, clean, peaceful, and the perfect place to fully recharge. The staff were incredible. We loved getting to know them, and a special shout-out to Shilah, Junni, David, Josia, and Fenton, as well as the buffet staff and the amazing housekeeping team who kept our room extra clean. Everyone made our stay feel so special—they kept us comfortable and had us laughing the whole time. There were always great food options at the buffet and restaurants. I’m a pescatarian, and I had multiple choices at every meal, which I really appreciated. I was also born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, so it meant a lot to see a mix of North American/British options alongside the celebration of Caribbean culture and traditional Caribbean cuisine. I loved having that variety. The beaches were absolutely beautiful—the water was clean, the beaches were quiet, and we had so much fun using the water sports equipment. This resort is amazing especially considering it is a 3 star resort. It is absolutely idyllic, unpretentious and rustic. Best resort I have been to in the Caribbean. I visited on my own and booked a Royal Palm Beach front room which was right on the beach and stunning. Own terrace and sunbed right on the beach, with the constant sound of the ocean. I chose to eat at PD's grill every day for a late lunch/early dinner as the staff were so lovely and welcoming. I never return to resorts but I plan on coming back here as soon as I can. A magical place where you can be on your own watching sunset after sunset. I feel totally rejuvenated and relaxed. I stayed for 11 nights but could have easily have stayed for longer. I will agree with other reviewers that a few of the staff can come across as rude but they still provide good service even if it is without a smile - and to be honest I don't think I'd smile serving holiday makers day in and day out in the heat!

30th Anniversary Private Beachfront Dining at Sea Grapes – Hawksbill Resort, Antigua We celebrated our 30th anniversary with a private beachfront dinner at Sea Grapes at Hawksbill Resort, and it was truly an unforgettable night. From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical—soft lighting, the sound of the waves just steps away, perfect music, and a beautifully set table that made the evening feel intimate and special. The food was outstanding. We were served a six course meal our favorites were the seafood cakes, which were perfectly seasoned and crisp on the outside with tender, flavorful seafood inside. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and full of rich, savory flavor. The tuna was another highlight, incredibly fresh and expertly prepared. Every dish felt thoughtful and beautifully presented, making the meal just as memorable as the occasion we were celebrating. Our hostess supervisor Shilah and server Aquila made the night even more special. Aquila was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure our anniversary felt extraordinary. Her timing, kindness, and attention to detail elevated the entire experience. Celebrating such an important milestone at Sea Grapes was a gift. The combination of delicious food, stunning beachfront ambiance, and exceptional service created a night we will treasure forever. A perfect anniversary dinner—romantic, delicious, and truly special.

My recent stay at Hawksbill Resort Antigua was anything but enjoyable. The dining experience—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—was extremely disorganized. Every time we went, there was no one available to seat guests, and lines quickly became extended. They consistently ran out of food, and when we asked one of the staff members (notably an unpleasant female employee), the response was simply “okay,” with no effort to address the issue. Even getting basic items like water and coffee felt like a challenge. I frequently ran out of drinking water at the table and had to search for a dispenser just to refill my glass. The entertainment was subpar. The fire show even started an hour earlier than the posted schedule, causing many guests to miss it. Overall, there was very little to do at the resort. Management was never visible or engaging with guests, which added to the frustration. The rooms also felt outdated, still using physical keys to unlock the doors. I did not feel comfortable leaving my personal belongings in the safe, as it did not appear to be properly secured. Additionally, housekeeping failed to service our room for two days during our six-day stay. Overall, I would strongly recommend spending your money at another resort while visiting this otherwise beautiful island.
