Room fits a bed and regret. Shower designed for someone with no elbows. Asked for a toothbrush — housekeeping was *busy.* BUSY DOING WHAT?! No water. $58 valet that I declined on principle and dignity. "Free breakfast" was Costco's reject shelf, plated with audacity. Now the good news — great location! Bad news — your neighbours outside didn't book a room. They just... live there. Overall? Not terrible, not great. The price made sense. The experience did not. ⭐⭐

Hard to believe this place is a four star hotel. Unable to reach the front desk at 10pm (which is not that late) tried both room phone and telephone number and neither worked. Upon arrival the toilet was broken, they did repair it pretty quickly so I appreciated that. The walls were paper thin, to a point where I could hear word for word what my neighbors were saying. Had to use the coat hanger hack to lock my door too, because I was scared of the noise in the hallway. I didn’t mind the small room, the coffee machine in the lobby is nice too, I do wish the breakfast could be better. If you’re a woman traveling alone I wouldn’t recommend this place.

My experience with this hotel was excellent. Pros: Great price, location, free water, free coffee, free breakfast, free luggage hold, cute touch on its interior. Cons: Noise. Compact. The hotel offers a lot of goods for the price. Walking in here, I was not expecting the place to be like Ritz-Carlton. However, when comparing to hotels with similar price point, I could see that this hotel really tries to maximize every benefit that they can control. It was pretty noisy but the hotel cannot control that factor.

Solo Traveler - Often travel for work, spent a night off work and stayed at Hotel Epik The room was good enough for me, would be a little tight for more than one person but manageable for two. Comfy beds and bath soaps provided. I was able to check in early and leave my luggage after checking out, with no additional charge - at least for the day I stayed Espresso machine in the lobby was delicious and saved me on lattes!! Great walkable location to multiple areas of town. There are some unhoused nearby but I didn't have an issue when walking through. Lots of good food spots and bus stops nearby.

Heavy smell of cleaning products and a window that didn't latch tight. Very noisy - but that is to be expected given the area and is part of the San Francisco experience! Otherwise, it was a lovely stay. Great air control in the room, nice pillows and an easy TV.
