The Hyatt Regency Baku is a 5-star hotel strategically situated close to Baku's business and shopping districts, offering a blend of classic elegance and modern convenience. It features 159 spacious rooms and suites, some with garden, pool, or city views, along with exclusive access to a Regency Club for upgraded stays. A standout feature is the extensive wellness offering, which includes large indoor and outdoor swimming pools and the full-service World Class Spa & Gym. The hotel is noted for its professional service and dining options, including the Mediterranean-focused Mezzo Restaurant. We booked the Hyatt Regency as part of a birthday stay. Check-in was smooth and we were upgraded to a very spacious room, though it was a bit sparse/dated. As Hyatt Globalists, we were welcomed with a very large spread of fruits, nuts and wine, which was a real treat. The lounge was small, but had excellent service from the attendant and a very nice evening spread. The pool was a bit tricky to access, but was very nice to be able to escape the heat. Robes and slippers were provided. Bathrooms featured hand bar soap, which is a pity.

This is a reliable Hyatt Regency: it neither over-delivers nor under-delivers, but provides exactly the comfortable and dependable stay you would expect from the brand. The hotel is slightly dated, but it is holding up reasonably well. The rooms are attractive, comfortable, and equipped with all the expected amenities. When the sun goes down and you lose the natural light, the room is unfortunately very dark even with every light on. But I have found that to be true, at just about every older Hyatt Regency I've come across as a Hyatt globalist who stays 70 plus nights a year at Hyatts. My main disappointment was the pool, which is connected to a gym or fitness club shared with people who are not necessarily hotel guests. It was busy with families and gym members, so it lacked the relaxing, resort-like atmosphere I had hoped for. The flip side of that is it seems the hotel guest have full access to a real, extensive, and independent gym with classes and all the fixins'. I was on vacation so I didn't fully test that, but it was my understanding. I'd say the biggest disappointment for me was breakfast. I'm not going to weigh that too heavily against the hotel as I received it as part of my globalist status. With that said, I had breakfast exactly one time over an extended stay because it is an incredibly limited and frankly not that great. It's quite small and very busy. It's certainly not something I would have paid any amount of money for. The standout of the stay was Adam in the Regency Club. He has genuine golden-retriever energy, in the best possible way. He always seemed sincerely happy to see guests, asked about my day, offered thoughtful recommendations, and brought warmth and personality to every interaction. He is a real asset to the hotel and was easily the best staff member I encountered during my stay. The location is slightly removed from the Old City, which I would consider the most desirable area for sightseeing and atmosphere, but it is only around a 10–15-minute Bolt ride away, so it never felt particularly inconvenient. On the hotel experience alone, I would probably rate it 4 out of 5. However, Adam's excellent service and the overall value was excellent, saved it for me. Taking that into account, I am giving it 5 stars. It was a solid, comfortable stay, and I would happily stay here again.

Not bad at all but not 100% to the name behind it. Rooms very spatious but there was a noise comming from the techical shaft all night for 3 nights. So insolation was bad. Brekfast very good but the ball rooms were in other buildings detached from the hotel. Service great and people very polight.

Good hotel, with excellent amenities. Room was very big and spacious, staff were very friendly and assisted whenever we needed something. Some noisy neighbours annoyingly… but other than that great stay! The pool and spa facilities were great

I had a long stay (months) at the hotel along with a big team of mine. The stay was excellent with exceptional services from all the staff. After spending such a good time now It feels like a second home to me at Baku. Restaurant staff Ali, Turan, Səadət, Naila, Samra, Sabina, Aitaj and many more really managed a warm and welcoming breakfast at hotel. Reception and management staff Ms Irada, Mr Seymur, Sultan and David at executive lounge were all very friendly and helping round the clock. There are many more whose names have not been mentioned but they all worked together to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I had few maintenance related things which is normal in a four month stay at place, nevertheless all issues were well taken care of.
