We had 3 days at the beginning of July here and I cannot rate the place highly enough. This is honestly among one of the best hotels and locations I have ever stayed in. And we have travelled alot and stayed in some top places. All the staff were amazing. Our room, a king size suite was perfect. The restaurants were great, the bars were great. We were there for thw France Spain game of the world cup and although the game was dull, the location on the rooftop to watch it was pretty special. The gym was decent, my husband had a massage in the spa and was very happy with the treatment. The fish of the day in the Lighthouse restaurant was the best we had ever had. We definitely plan on going back.

Stayed at the Hyatt last week. Wow! It was amazing and we can’t recommend enough! Gorgeous people who are so friendly and helpful. Room was amazing with a big balcony and lovely view. Beach was lovely and had a brilliant bar which sold lovely food. We would love to stay again! Thankyou to everyone for making our holiday special.

Our first stay at Hyatt exceeded all our expectations. Amanda and her team made our vacation truly special with their genuine hospitality and outstanding service. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and our sea-view room was absolutely stunning. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful bay with epic private beach which is across the street from hotel is a major plus of this hotel if you’re looking for beach vacation. That’s definitely a highlight of our 20+ days stay. Breakfasts are tasty with high quality products, very organized and clean. Decent coffee (by request) which is a rare thing to get in Montenegro. Coffee from the coffee machine is terrible as in other places. Staff is friendly and welcoming for the most part. As a downside the cleaning service was inconsistent, sometimes they even skipped cleaning our room although there was a cleaning request sign which was pretty disappointing as we had to call reception multiple times to ask for our room to be cleaned. Didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel experience. Also no turndown service which is fine. Major complaint is for the handicapped elevator by the entrance was broken the whole stay, so we had to lift our stroller up and down to go to the beach multiple times a day, although staff members helped us with it when they were around. And final notice for the medical spa: there was a little boy that got stung by a jellyfish one day and the older woman who said she was a main doctor of the medical center didn’t even examine the boy, she just said that the mother needs to put hot water over the wound which is unheard of. She was too busy selling unnecessary services to other customers. She didn’t seem to be professional whatsoever. Their massage therapist guy is the best though. As a final note I would not recommend to buy a boat tour to perast from the hotel as they made us pay €200 round trip while people from our hotel paid €30 for the same boat ride, which for me was bewildering.

Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort exceeded every expectation. The location is perfect—peaceful and secluded on the bay, yet only a short drive from Kotor’s Old Town. Just be sure to allow extra time if you’re heading into town. The distance isn’t far, but traffic can become glacial whenever cruise ships are in port. The property itself is stunning. The infinity pool overlooking the bay is spectacular, the swim-up bar is a great place to spend an afternoon, and the private beach offers a quiet alternative if you prefer the water. Best of all, there was never a scramble for lounge chairs, food service, or space. It was the complete opposite of the crowded atmosphere you find in town during peak cruise hours. The restaurants were excellent, the views were breathtaking from every angle, and the staff consistently delivered warm, attentive, and genuinely professional service. During our stay, we even watched them handle several guests who seemed determined to find fault with everything. The staff remained calm, gracious, and accommodating throughout—honestly, it explained some of the negative reviews far better than it reflected on the hotel. The surrounding area is beautiful as well. We enjoyed outstanding hiking with incredible panoramic views of the Bay of Kotor, then returned to spend quiet afternoons by the pool. It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. If you’re deciding between staying in the middle of Kotor or just outside it, choose this hotel. You can easily visit the Old Town when you want, then come back to a peaceful resort instead of sharing the city with thousands of cruise passengers rushing to squeeze everything into a single eight-hour stop. We would gladly stay here again.
