The Kruger Gate Hotel really is the dream hotel and we honestly cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was outstanding. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is simply incredible. There cannot be many places in the world where you can relax in a swimming pool while watching hippos and elephants at the watering hole. It was one of those experiences that you have to keep reminding yourself is actually real. The food was another huge highlight. Both breakfast and dinner were incredible, with an amazing amount of choice and consistently excellent quality. Every meal felt like an experience in itself and we genuinely looked forward to seeing what was on offer each day. The entertainment was also amazing and added so much to the whole experience. It was wonderful to feel immersed in the local culture while enjoying our evenings at the hotel. One moment that will stay with me was hearing the staff sing The Lion Sleeps Tonight while we were eating. I’ll admit, I even got a little glassy-eyed. It was such a special and unexpectedly emotional moment and perfectly captured the magic of being there. The staff were absolutely outstanding throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and attentive and they all played a part in making the hotel feel so special. We also booked our safaris through the hotel and they were incredibly well planned, exciting and undoubtedly some of the highlights of our trip. Everything was so well organised and the whole experience made exploring Kruger completely effortless. What makes the Kruger Gate Hotel so special is the combination of everything. You have the excitement of being right next to one of the most incredible wildlife destinations in the world while still being able to return to a beautiful hotel, enjoy amazing food, relax by the pool and be looked after by an exceptional team. It truly felt like a dream holiday and we were so sad to leave. We would absolutely love to return one day and relive the experience all over again. Our stay was amazing from beginning to end. Since the moment we arrived, the whole team was super friendly and always smiling. The place was always clean and organized, and the housekeeping team was very quick and efficient. The service overall was great — breakfast and dinner were always well served, and the staff took really good care of us. Finally, I’d like to give a special thanks to D. and Zenda for all their kindness during our stay. They were incredibly thoughtful and welcoming with us. We’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting South Africa — you’ve gained ambassadors in Brazil!

My husband (American) and I (South African) spent 2 nights here it was awesome!! The staff are super friendly, helpful and kind. Both my husband and I loved the dinner buffet and the poolside menu too. Breakfast was really good as well. The drinks are absolutely amazing. The staff do a really great job at keeping the property clean and neat. Everything was truly outstanding. They offer safari tours which we did and enjoyed. The hotel is right by the KNP Skukuza gate. And the pool deck is overlooking the KNP we spotted a few animals while we were relaxing by the pool. We look forward to coming again in the future.

Really good hotel with a price not so bad. The food is really good and the pool and trnnis areas were good and fun to hang out. The rooms were good nothing special. They also have a bus to pick you up form the airport. The service was really good. It you have heavy bags you can call the staff to help lift your bags to your room. The breakfast was really good especially the pancakes and crapes. The dinner was also good. We went on the Sunrise and Sunset game drive which was really fun. If you go in the morning bring many layers in the winter. One of the best parts of this hotel is the location. It is right infront of the Kruger park which is very convenient. Overall this was a great hotel to stay at.

The hotel’s infrastructure is outstanding, and its location right at the entrance of Kruger National Park makes it truly unique. We especially loved the view from the pool area, which is absolutely breathtaking. One of the most amazing parts of our stay was being able to see wildlife without even leaving the hotel. We were fortunate enough to spot hippos, monkeys, crocodiles, and buffalo right from the property, making the experience even more special. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude for the care and attention given to preparing kosher meals for our group. The dedication, kindness, and effort shown by the team to accommodate our needs were greatly appreciated and made us feel genuinely welcomed.
