**3/5** I had a lovely holiday in Menorca, but that was because the island and Cala Galdana are beautiful rather than because of the hotel. The location is undoubtedly the biggest selling point. The beach is stunning and just a short walk away, although it's worth noting that it's a public beach and sun loungers are an additional cost, which isn't made particularly clear when booking. Unfortunately, I don't think this hotel lives up to its five-star rating. The service was inconsistent throughout my stay, the pool area was very disappointing (I've stayed in three-star hotels with much better facilities), and the rooms felt dated. The bed was comfortable, but the room was small, the bathroom was in need of refurbishment, and the amenities were very basic for a hotel at this price point. As a solo female traveller, I also felt the hotel was heavily geared towards families, with little thought given to adults travelling alone or as couples. I chose a resort hotel for convenience, but I don't think the facilities justified the premium price. I'm also a Meliá Gold member and had contacted the hotel in advance regarding both a room upgrade voucher and my vegan diet. While I understand upgrades aren't always possible, it was disappointing that no upgrade was available despite requesting it ahead of time. Likewise, although staff were willing to help with vegan meals, I found myself having to explain my dietary requirements at every meal rather than there being any consistency or clear options. Overall, this is a hotel with an exceptional location but one that falls well short of the standards I would expect from a five-star property, and the experiences I’ve had in other Melis hotels. In hindsight, I could have stayed in a much cheaper apartment nearby and enjoyed a very similar holiday.

Can’t say enough about the views!!! Wow. Stayed for a few nights. Best steak I’ve had at the hotels beach level restaurant and our server brought out the Chef to meet us! Awesome. Concierge Gurard Segura is outstanding and went above and beyond every time, had the best conversations too! Also, Angel is a bartender at entrance level bar and is the best kindest person. Thank you all for making our stay the best possible!

A beautiful hotel located right on the beach front, the hotel is beautifully decorated and I loved the rituals products in the rooms. We loved the breakfast buffet which offered a wide choice and healthy options. I travelled with my four year old and the hotel is very family friendly with lots of young children around; they have a lovely kids club but we didn’t try it this time. Staff were friendly and helpful, I had trouble with my key which was sorted promptly. There are many wellness facilities to try and varied entertainment at night. We loved it and will hopefully be coming back to visit again!

We had an excellent stay at Meliá Cala Galdana, a hotel that combines comfort, cleanliness, and a very pleasant atmosphere throughout the property. Everything was well maintained, creating a relaxing environment from start to finish. Micaela at reception deserves a special mention for her outstanding professionalism and warm approach. She was consistently attentive, very helpful, and her excellent English made communication effortless and even more reassuring throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, and kept in impeccable condition, which contributed greatly to a restful and enjoyable stay. At the bar, Fernando and Rony provided exceptional service, always friendly, efficient, and attentive to detail, helping create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere each time we visited. Overall, a highly satisfying experience, made memorable by a team that clearly takes great pride in delivering excellent service.

Hands down the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in (and I’ve stayed at a lot of places). The location is BEYOND perfect to the cove and all the shops/restaurants in the area. The Housekeeping - flawless. They are a well oiled machine and always went above and beyond. We got a room that also had “The Level” access which I HIGHLY recommend. Not only can you check in early, but you get access to an open bar and snacks DAILY and the staff are so proactive at giving you the best stay possible. Breaky buffet? DELICIOUS. The views? BREATHTAKING. I honestly had the most amazing time here and highly recommend for couples/singles/families - the lot. The indoor and outdoor gym are awesome too, the restaurants at the hotel are good (the Italian one is awesome, the Beach restaurant is the best. You can skip Cape Nao that one was average. Dinner buffet also average but there’s something for everyone and a HUGE range of food)
