**3/5** I had a lovely holiday in Menorca, but that was because the island and Cala Galdana are beautiful rather than because of the hotel. The location is undoubtedly the biggest selling point. The beach is stunning and just a short walk away, although it's worth noting that it's a public beach and sun loungers are an additional cost, which isn't made particularly clear when booking. Unfortunately, I don't think this hotel lives up to its five-star rating. The service was inconsistent throughout my stay, the pool area was very disappointing (I've stayed in three-star hotels with much better facilities), and the rooms felt dated. The bed was comfortable, but the room was small, the bathroom was in need of refurbishment, and the amenities were very basic for a hotel at this price point. As a solo female traveller, I also felt the hotel was heavily geared towards families, with little thought given to adults travelling alone or as couples. I chose a resort hotel for convenience, but I don't think the facilities justified the premium price. I'm also a Meliá Gold member and had contacted the hotel in advance regarding both a room upgrade voucher and my vegan diet. While I understand upgrades aren't always possible, it was disappointing that no upgrade was available despite requesting it ahead of time. Likewise, although staff were willing to help with vegan meals, I found myself having to explain my dietary requirements at every meal rather than there being any consistency or clear options. Overall, this is a hotel with an exceptional location but one that falls well short of the standards I would expect from a five-star property, and the experiences I’ve had in other Melis hotels. In hindsight, I could have stayed in a much cheaper apartment nearby and enjoyed a very similar holiday.

Can’t say enough about the views!!! Wow. Stayed for a few nights. Best steak I’ve had at the hotels beach level restaurant and our server brought out the Chef to meet us! Awesome. Concierge Gurard Segura is outstanding and went above and beyond every time, had the best conversations too! Also, Angel is a bartender at entrance level bar and is the best kindest person. Thank you all for making our stay the best possible!

A beautiful hotel located right on the beach front, the hotel is beautifully decorated and I loved the rituals products in the rooms. We loved the breakfast buffet which offered a wide choice and healthy options. I travelled with my four year old and the hotel is very family friendly with lots of young children around; they have a lovely kids club but we didn’t try it this time. Staff were friendly and helpful, I had trouble with my key which was sorted promptly. There are many wellness facilities to try and varied entertainment at night. We loved it and will hopefully be coming back to visit again!

We had such an amazing honeymoon at the Meliá Cala Galdana ! Everything was amazing. The view from the room was just magical. The food was great. And the service was just over the top. A special thanks to Jota, Judith and Jose Félix for their kindness and attention ❤️ We will DEFINITELY come back !

Last week I came back from one of the most wonderful holidays at Melia Cala Galdana. From the moment I stepped in, the experience in the resort was above and beyond perfect. All hotel staff and services are outstandingly professional and courteous in the most elegant and non-imposing ways. Particular thanks to Josemi for making it extra special and comfortable upon my arrrival and departure 🩷 and Francesco, Jota, Danny, Jose, the superb cleaning staff of 1023, and the pool Supervisor. I cannot thank you all enough 🩷 The resort is luxurious and peaceful, and has all bonuses of indoor/ outdoor workout facilities, amazing sandy beach with private access, a large outdoor pool, several restaurants on site and nearby, a bus stop and supermarkets within 5 mins walk. I couldn’t ask for more especially as a solo traveller. A remarkable feature for me was the soundproofing of walls, and room doors which don’t slam but shut quietly. If I tried to be picky, a very slow lift is perhaps one small downside of the hotel but then I am claustrophobic and don’t like fully enclosed lifts anyway. Took the stairs to 10th floor instead which was good for me 😄 Overall, a sophisticated place with 7star amenities and staff, delicious versatile & hygienically presented food, spotless rooms and a strong shower pressure (bonus too!), lush surroundings, wonderful turquoise seafront, cheap bus fares and the nicest friendly people. Muchas gracias Melia Cala Galdana, I will not forget this trip and would come back in a heartbeat 🫶🏽
