We arrived three days ago, and this is our second visit to Pangkor Laut Resort. Our first experience was excellent; unfortunately, our second visit has been disappointing. The resort management should have anticipated the high number of visitors during this weekend. However, the staff seemed unprepared. From the reception, restaurant, café, and room service, the service quality fell below expectations. In the end, I had to look for one of the staff members who had attended to us during our previous visit. Her name is Dian, and she made the necessary arrangements despite the unpleasant experiences we encountered on several occasions. YTL, if you want Pangkor Laut Resort to remain one of the most sought-after island getaway destinations, you should take immediate action on this matter. Dian deserves recognition for her professionalism and dedication. I also observed a management representative at the jetty who appeared unclear about his role and responsibilities. One visitor shared his concerns with him, but instead of addressing the issue, he attempted to divert the conversation. He seemed more interested in proudly announcing that the family of a Chief Minister was staying at the resort. As returning guests, we expected the same level of excellence we experienced during our first visit. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet those expectations.

Excellent Service & Unforgettable Experience at Pangkor Laut Resort I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. Yee Sin from the Pangkor Laut Sales Team Office for her excellent assistance from the beginning. She made the booking process for our team of 9 pax (5 rooms) very smooth and convenient. Truly appreciate her professionalism and support. A very special thank you to the Ground Service Team led by Mr. Segar. The service we received was extremely warm, personalised and prestigious — truly living up to the iconic reputation of Pangkor Laut Resort. We enjoyed the wide array of delicious breakfast options at Feast Village, a beautiful and relaxing lunch by the beach at Chapman’s Bar, and a memorable dinner with flavourful Chinese cuisine at Uncle Lim’s Kitchen. Every meal gave us a delightful dining experience. The natural beauty of Pangkor Laut Island, combined with the exceptional hospitality from Mr. Segar and his team, along with the various facilities provided, made our experience truly valuable and unforgettable. Our meeting room at The Snug was also very comfortable, with free flow coffee and tea prepared for us — such a thoughtful touch. We highly recommend this resort, especially for couples, as the Sea Villa area offers a romantic and breathtaking atmosphere. Overall, we are very thankful to the entire hotel team — especially Ms. Yee Sin, Mr. Segar, and all staff — for the top-notch service and memorable stay. We look forward to returning again soon! 🙏🌴✨

This is a 5 star plus resort. The island is magical. The rooms are spectacular. If you’re looking for modern decor like the previous unhappier reviewer then it’s like going to Michel Roux Jr’s restaurant and expecting sushi and burgers. We stayed in a Spa Villa which was stunning. The staff are an absolute pleasure to be around. Each display their own individuality but loyal and adherent to the ethos of the hard working and passionate GM, Ivy who goes above and beyond to make sure the guests are happy. On some days, we didn’t get a sun bed but there was always seating around the pool available. Food is high quality but I’d have liked the option of room service and maybe a pizza 😂 one night! I’d definitely return. It’s a great island with even better staff and facilities. I could go on and on. World class spa, saw Hollywood royalty here too. Honestly I’d be shocked if anyone was disappointed if they knew they were coming to an Asian retreat. Don’t come expecting an ultra modern hotel because it isn’t. It’s a luxurious, Asian, immaculately clean resort which has the highest level of service.

Peaceful laid back resort. Service was excellent. The beaches were clean. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast has great options. The food was great in all the restaurants we tried. We will be back again. A special thanks to Ms Vigneswari at reception who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.

Resort well blended with serene nature, the beach is remarkable, white sand turquoise sea, the front desks are friendly. The facilities, pool, sports, jungle walk, yoga, kids room are amazing. These make this resort 5 stars Unfortunately the food is not up to the 5 stars, we can get the RM20 to 30 a plate of good fried rice at a good restaurants ouside, but here simple fried rice cost RM50++ per plate ( egg & chicken) with normal rice but not fragrance rice, similar to the banana leaf rice cost RM70 ++, which not as per expection, only normal rice not the basmathi rice. The quality of the food is not reach the 5 star standard, personal opinion only up to 3 star. The buffet salads , over dressings and taste not fresh, look quite sometimes in the fridge. The covers of condiments for the porridge are not properly wipes, some stained can be seen. No selection of tea near the coffee mechine as what 4 or 5 star hotels provided. Hope these review can help to improve the quality of the food.
