This was my seventh visit to Pangkor Laut Resort, and unfortunately, I have to say that the overall standards have declined significantly compared to my previous stays. For a luxury resort of this reputation and price range, I expected a much higher level of cleanliness, hygiene, and attention to detail. The cleanliness of the room was particularly disappointing. I found ants, hair, black spots, and even unidentified bugs on the bed. To make matters worse, there was sand on the bedsheets. Even after requesting a bedsheet change, I was shocked to discover that there was still sand on the bed. This raises serious concerns about the housekeeping standards and whether the rooms are being properly cleaned and inspected. Even the drinking cups were not properly cleaned, which further added to my disappointment. These are basic hygiene standards that should never be compromised, especially at a resort that positions itself as a five-star luxury destination. Guests should not have to repeatedly check whether their beds and amenities are clean. Having visited Pangkor Laut Resort seven times, I can clearly see how much the quality and attention to detail have deteriorated over the years. It is genuinely disappointing to witness a resort I once loved and trusted fall so far below expectations. I sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously rather than simply relying on the resort’s established reputation. Luxury is not just about beautiful surroundings and premium prices. It is about maintaining consistently high standards, especially in cleanliness, hygiene, and guest comfort. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of what Pangkor Laut Resort once represented.

We are a couple from China who have travelled to dozens of countries and stayed at countless hotels and resorts. Apon is by far the best staff member we have ever met. He is warm, polite, energetic and highly professional. During our five days on the island, we chatted with him every day. He took photos for us and is a truly skilled photographer. Honestly, we are so grateful to have him with us on this unforgettable island trip. We would also like to thank our driver WEI, one of the few people on the island who speaks Mandarin. My partner and I recently stayed at Pangkor Laut Resort for 4 nights, and it was truly one of the most beautiful and relaxing resort experiences we have ever had. The island itself is stunning, surrounded by crystal-clear water and lush rainforest. Every corner of the resort is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed, making it feel like a private tropical paradise. Whether it was watching the sunset, enjoying the beaches, or simply walking around the resort, the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. What made our stay even more special was the exceptional service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, but one team member in particular stood out – Mizan. We first met Mizan during our first meal at the resort and later realised he was working across several different restaurants. Every time he saw us, he greeted us with a genuine smile and incredible warmth. To our surprise, he remembered both my name and my partner’s name, and often anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask. His attentiveness, professionalism and genuine care for guests went far beyond what we would normally expect. It is rare to come across someone who is so passionate about hospitality and who consistently makes guests feel valued and at home. A heartfelt thank you to Mizan for making our stay even more memorable. He is a true credit to Pangkor Laut Resort. We will definitely be returning in the future.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exceptional Stay at Pangkor Laut Resort We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Pangkor Laut Resort, and what truly stood out to us was the incredible hospitality and friendliness of the entire team. From the moment we arrived, 100% of the staff from the reception team, waiters and restaurant managers to housekeeping, transport staff and everyone in between were exceptionally warm, friendly and attentive. What impressed us most was how they constantly checked in to make sure everything was okay and that we were enjoying our stay. It genuinely felt like they cared about our experience, rather than simply doing their jobs. We stayed at Spa Village, and the entire resort was super duper clean and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful, relaxing and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food deserves a special mention too! 🍽️ The food at Feast Village, Chapman’s Bar and Uncle Lim’s Kitchen was consistently delicious, clean, and offered plenty of variety. We genuinely enjoyed our meals throughout the stay. A special shout out to Mr Mages, Mr Segar and Mr Manickam from the Transport/Jetty team. Thank you for your warmth, helpfulness and for making our transfers so smooth and pleasant. You guys definitely made an impression on us! Overall, it was not just the beautiful resort or the amazing surroundings that made our stay memorable ,it was the people. The genuine smiles, friendliness and attention from the staff made us feel truly welcomed. Thank you, Pangkor Laut Resort, for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely remember the hospitality and hopefully be back again! ❤️🌴
