Our stay at this hotel was absolutely outstanding and exceeded all our expectations in every way. We would especially like to mention Ngoan, the supervisor at the restaurant on the 1st floor, together with the entire team. Everyone was highly professional, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The service was exceptional and always fully guest-oriented. A very special thank you also goes to Dung from housekeeping and the entire cleaning team. The cleanliness throughout the whole hotel was absolutely impeccable and maintained with great care and attention to detail. Such professionalism is very rare to find — even in Germany, we hardly experience this level of excellence. Thank you for your amazing work! The sauna area was also a perfect place to relax. We would like to compliment the very friendly gentleman working there — unfortunately, we missed his name — who did a fantastic job and made the experience even more enjoyable with his kindness and professionalism. Overall, we can highly recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Every department delivered true 5-star service: exclusive, professional, and completely focused on guest satisfaction. We felt comfortable and valued at all times, and we will definitely come back again!

The Front Office team provided a warm welcome and a smooth check-in, while Housekeeping kept the room spotless and comfortable throughout my stay. I was particularly impressed by the service at restaurant. The evening staff recommendations for the wine and dishes were excellent, making the dining experience truly memorable. We recently enjoyed a 4 night stay at Pullman Hanoi and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel isn't located in the Old Quarter, but rather in a quieter area, which we really appreciated after busy days exploring Hanoi. It's still within a comfortable walking distance of the Old Quarter and many of the city's main attractions. The hotel is showing its age in some areas, but it's currently undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment. Renovations were taking place during our stay, with floors 1–4 seemingly closed for upgrades, but we weren't disturbed by any noise or disruption. From what we could see, the newly renovated rooms look fantastic and will give the hotel a fresh new feel. Our room was comfortable, featuring an exceptionally comfortable bed and views over the surrounding district, the large outdoor infinity pool below, and the beautiful old brick chimney at the front of the hotel, which adds plenty of character. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wide selection of both Western and Asian dishes served in the hotel's spacious restaurant, with amazing helpful staff. We also made good use of the large infinity pool, which was a real highlight. There were plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas, making it a relaxing place to unwind after spending the day sightseeing. The Executive Lounge isn't particularly large, but it was never crowded during our stay. We enjoyed the evening canapés and drinks each night, and the service was consistently friendly. The gym was also being refurbished, so the hotel had set up a temporary fitness area with only a limited selection of equipment. While it was quite small, it was sufficient for our daily workouts. My wife also visited the hairdresser opposite the temporary gym and was very happy with both the service and the results. A nice surprise was the modern shopping mall just a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel. It has a unique layout and offers a great variety of shops, cafés, and restaurants, making it well worth a visit. Overall, Pullman Hanoi is currently looking a little tired in places, but it's clear the renovations are transforming the property. The comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, relaxing pool, Executive Lounge, and convenient yet peaceful location made for an enjoyable stay and we would happily return.

I would not recommend staying at Pullman Hanoi based on my recent experience. The problems started even before check-in. Despite having a confirmed booking, the hotel attempted to change the reservation terms, citing rate changes. One of our rooms had been booked using points, which they initially refused to honor. This created unnecessary stress before we had even arrived. On arrival, the first impression was disappointing. The hotel is undergoing renovation, and both the property and surrounding area felt untidy and unattractive. Common areas showed signs of ongoing construction, with dust, cement smells, and workers' shoe marks visible outside the elevators. The swimming pool area on the second floor lacked any food and beverage service, which was surprising for a hotel of this category. Breakfast offered a reasonable selection, but the service was inconsistent. I requested a masala omelette, and it arrived excessively oily and undercooked. When I politely asked for it to be remade, the chef responded that "this is how it is done," rather than addressing the concern. The most disappointing breakfast experience came on our final morning. Breakfast service was advertised until 10:30 AM. We had collected our food before that time and were still eating at our table. At approximately 10:45 AM, the restaurant manager asked us to vacate the table because they wanted to reset the area, despite there being dozens of empty tables available throughout the restaurant. This felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. The rooms themselves were dark, gloomy, and in need of maintenance. On the first night, the air-conditioning unit in my children's room made excessive noise, making it difficult for them to sleep. Although this was repaired the following day, our own room then developed the same issue. Even the basic bathroom amenities were frustrating to use. The soap and shampoo dispensers fixed to the wall were extremely difficult to operate, requiring repeated presses and considerable effort to dispense even a small amount. It was a small detail, but one that added to the overall feeling that guest comfort and maintenance were not receiving adequate attention. Overall, this stay fell well below expectations for a Pullman property. Between the booking issues, renovation disruption, maintenance concerns, and poor service recovery, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. There are many hotel options in Hanoi, and based on this experience, I would choose to stay elsewhere on my next visit.

I enjoyed my stay at the Pullman Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel has a fitness center and a swimming pool, and the restaurant offers good food and drinks. The location is convenient, with easy access to the city center, shopping areas, restaurants, and other attractions. I felt safe throughout my stay and enjoyed Vietnamese culture and cuisine very much. One small suggestion is that staff could ask guests whether they prefer coffee or tea, and ensure that drinks are not cleared away before guests have finished them.
