Thanchanok Inbangpae
I had Thanksgiving dinner at Kad Kafé, and the variety of food was incredible, truly impressive. There was also live music in the restaurant, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Khun Tank and Khun Nan took great care of our table throughout the meal. Chef Eddy introduced me to the beef stew, and it was absolutely delicious so tender it felt like it melted in my mouth. Khun Moji was very attentive while serving the dishes, and Chef Ngek recommended so many wonderful desserts. I especially loved the rice pudding. Even when it came time to pay, Khun Kim and Khun Garfew still very thoughtful. If I have the chance, I would definitely come back to dine here again.

I cannot say enough positive things about the staff here! Everyone single staff member from reception, to food and beverage, to housekeeping were so polite and friendly, and helpful and kind. I would stay again purely for the staff. Aside from the staff, the food and drinks were amazing, as well as the location and the beauty of the hotel. I would recommend for anyone staying in Chiang Mai.

We booked to stay at the Shangri-La for a week and it was so good we extended our stay! Everything about the hotel is superb and the hotel employees are amazing. We stayed on the Horizon floors with access to the Horizon lounge where breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks are served daily. There is also a concierge desk there where tours can be recommended and booked. The hotel has a lovely pool and health suite where again the staff were very attentive and helpful. The whole experience of staying there was very relaxing and a place to look forward to returning to each day. We would especially like to thank Pat, Noah, Sarah, Min and Mo who looked after us so courteously in the Horizon Lounge. Also, Joe and the other housekeeping staff who kept our suite so nicely. We would highly recommend a stay at the Shangri-La, Chiang Mai.

We got a suite and it was stunning. It had lots of space, great view, well finished and furnished. The suite included access to the executive lounge where there was free afternoon tea between two and four and cocktails between 630 and 730. If you don’t have kids, you can also go to cocktails earlier from 530. We have two small children a 3 1/2 year-old and a 4 months year-old and we were able to put the 3 1/2 year-old in a separate room to us and the newborn into the second bathroom in his cot. Worked really well. The hotel is generally good value for a five star in the location it is in. The swimming pool was great, but unfortunately the slide was under renovation for the entirety of our four days stay. Kids club was very comprehensively kitted out although the scheduled activities aimed at kids slightly older than my daughter. We used Grab Tuk Tuk to go to Knight markets and temples and my daughter loved them. Software friendly and accommodating throughout. Generally a great hotel for Chiang Mai.

Very comfortable hotel in Chiang Mai! Everything was perfect and our special requests were accommodated by the hotel. The hotel and room overall is very clean. They also have a large outdoor pool, slide, and kid’s play area. Additionally, there is a health club(no extra cost for hotel guests), with a gym, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room! The buffet has so many options and the food is absolutely delicious! The crispy bacon was so fresh and tasted like real bacon! Some of the facilities like the room, pool, and health club are a little outdated, but well maintained so it’s still very nice.
