What we liked. The location is great with a fantastic view over the port of Mahon. The staff could not be faulted, very helpful and friendly. Our room was good and the beds were very comfortable, I slept very well. Can't complain about the food, we had breakfast and dinner, always a good choice, but not always hot. What disappointed us. I nearly stepped on a piece of class in the room, not good. The main bedroom light just flicked so couldn't be switched on. The room had tea and coffee, so I had a cuppa one evening, next day after the room and been cleaned, the tea/coffee was not replaced. Reception told me that I had to inform them and my room would be restocked, at sometime. This is very strange. We had a storm, and to my dismay found buckets catching water in the lounge area! and water dripping onto power sockets, not good at all. *Added. Sunbeds around the pool. Why, 8am sunbeds covered with towels, then not used for hours, just why? None of this will stop me returning, I am just a little disappointed considering the cost of our room.

We had superior sea view. View out over Mahón harbour is excellent but room is small and designed by a first year apprentice. Clothing storage is limited and jammed in between toilet, shower and sink. Shower has no lighting and relies on light coming in through the frosted glass door and shower panel. "Balcony" is less than 1m wide and can just manage 2 chairs and a table. Roof top bar view is stunning but only 1 of the 6 hot tubs worked properly. One got the impression that management lacks attention to detail which separates the good from the mediocre.

This hotel has the most beautiful views, very friendly staff and incredibly comfortable beds However breakfast could be absolutely chaotic and we had to clear and set our own table 3 out of 7 days The rooms are tired and small and housekeeping is hit and miss -: sometimes we got water, sometimes not, similar with bath mat and cleaning wasn't fabulous I booked after a superb stay in the sister hotel in Tenerife and encouraged 2 friends to also book which was a bit embarrassing considering the hotel certainly isn't 5 star The focus is on upselling not delivering value for what you have already paid for Our sheets were not changed for a week, apparently we should have put a request on our bed to have them changed but we didn't know this! I wonder how long they would have left them?

The Hotel in all is very good and clean, the Room was also well equipped. The view of the sea with the Sun is very nice also the Service was great. The Breakfast is very good large selection of Food but it would be better if the individual meat varieties would be prescribed so that you exactly know what kind of meat it is.

We had a beautiful 4 night stay at the Barcelo Hamilton. From arrival to check out the staff were excellent, especially Monica in the restaurant who was always so helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and varied. Lots to choose from. We stayed on a half board basis. The room was clean and had plenty of space. Water tea and coffee were provided in room. There was also a fridge to chill drinks. Pool area was small but clean and modern. unfortunately due to the weather we didn’t get to enjoy it. The location of the hotel is excellent. We could walk into Mahon in 25 min. The harbour area is beautiful and lots of good restaurants serving traditional Menorca cuisine and seafood. Lovey bars were you could get a drink and people watch. We also hired a car and it was a great base to explore what the island has to offer. Parking spaces outside hotel and neighbouring streets.
