I felt I must address the balance having read some of the less favourable reviews that have been posted. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bluesea Jandia Luz. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The position was ideal with just a short walk to the beach or the shops. The resort itself had a very laid back vibe and felt particularly safe both day and night. The food is not Michelin star but was always very good, fresh and replenished regularly. I had no complaints and ate well every day. I think some guests need to manage their expectations, this is excellent value for money and far far better than the poor reviews would have you believe. I look forward to returning in the future.

Hi just finished my 7 days all inclusive holidays on blue sea Jandia Luz hotel, the rooms are great, the pool and bar are greatb as well, but the food at the hotel restaurant is disgusting, the presentations, the taste simple horrible. They need to improve a loot on the kitchen. Not wort to book all inclusive exept for the bar drinks, that was ok.

Going to start my review by saying I'm genuinely surprised at some of the other reviews, I think maybe people are forgetting that this is a 3 star not a 5. My family of 4 (two adults, two children under 13, one of which is AuDHD) Location- is fantastic 2min walk to the beach and shops, at least 2 supermarkets within that short walk too as well as plenty of restaurants (for those ridiculous reviewers talking about food, go some where else) the only thing we struggled with and possibly worth noting is if you dont drive or choose to use the transfer bus from the airport, it can take a little while to get from one end of the island to the other as there are drop offs at several hotels, but is easy enough with that in mind. Also a great way to see some of the island. Rooms are good, clean and tidy, simple but as expected for a 3 star. They can get warm so if you have one with an over head fan make sure you get a remote from reception. Pool is great and also has a mini pool for smaller kids. Be mindful that there arent tons of loungers though there is other seating too. Anything we needed the reception was super helpful, more toilet paper (needed with boys), extra sheet etc. The whole complex is small so very easy to navigate. Food- great selection buffet wise which is on rotation, and considering this is a very small hotel I was surprised to see so much choice which changed every two days. Always some kind of pasta, chips, a meat and a fish, fresh salad and dressings, soup, and a range of desserts. Lots of choice for breakfast also. Vegans note there is plenty the only thing missing is protein though we did have a nice chickpea dish at one point. I genuinely dont understand the bad food comments especially as we are travelling with two children with particular eating habits, they've stuffed themselves this holiday. Just because you dont like the food doesnt mean its bad. The staff are all lovely, especially one very enthusiastic waiter and the nice guy who does the aqua gym. Super friendly and helped me with my terrible Spanish. Again not sure why theres comments about grumpy staff. All in all we will definitely come back. The only down side I would say would be the entitlement from some of the guests whom I assume think that because they've paid to stay means they can be incredibly rude and walk around like the hotel is theirs or be rude to staff. It genuinely blows me away that anyone would come away on holiday to relax and be horrendous to people who are just doing their jobs. Wild.

Great hotel, rooms does not have AC but do have a good ceiling fan. Great and fun staff. Food lacks a bit of options but great quality. Rami was excellent help

Although the journey from the airport takes what feels like 7 years (2 hours), we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Given some other reviews that we read, we were expecting the worse. However the hotel and staff were brilliant. The all inclusive food selection is limited (this should be expected though given the size of the hotel and it's star rating) the food was always tasty and we always found something that we both enjoyed. The pool area is small but there was always somewhere to sit, bar service was quick and the selection of drinks were good. Rooms could do with updating and no air con is an issue, however we had a really enjoyable stay and didn't want to come home.
