Beautiful art deco hotel on Ocean Drive, perfect for all the amenities of Miami Beach, whilst being very quiet as it is at the northern end so away from all the busier restaurants, bars and clubs. The room was spacious and comfortable, the only thing missing for what I could of needed was a desk for work, but it wasn’t a necessity due to the short nature of the trip and the hotel is more designed as a holiday hotel, so that isn’t a negative for me, just an observation if people are staying for business. The bar and lobby area is very quaint and the outdoor patio for breakfast is covered and offers good take service.

Me and my family stayed here for 2 nights and booked it trusting the pictures we saw online and regretted it. We booked a deluxe room with my family of 4. It’s a small room with 2 beds, an open closet, and a bathroom with a barn door that doesn’t even close. The bathroom was very narrow. The door doesn’t lock nor does it fully close without you having to push it. You can hear the people in the halls. TV does not work. Dust everywhere. Doesn’t feel clean or good at all. There is no AC in the room, my dad went down to ask about it and they said the rooms are all at the same temperature and if it goes above 72 degrees Fahrenheit then they turn on the AC. But you have no control of it and nor can you open the windows. Also there is no view for us and we were on the second floor on the side rooms. We used the stairs which were very dark and you could barely see where you were going. There were also no charging points near the bed. The room is so old too pretty much everything has cracks including the door. The location is the only thing that’s good. The restaurant is what they focus on more i think because the service and everything in general there was better. Don’t let this place fool you and find another hotel.

This review is from January. This hotel has public parking right behind for only $20. We selected this hotel for it's proximity to beach and parking. Not a lot of hotels has parking that is close in this area. Service was excellent, the room was fantastic. The old elevator was an experience. Such a cute hotel. We ate dinner and breakfast there. Highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat. We were also able to use the beach chairs and towels.

We did not have hot water (only freezing cold water) for the entire duration of our stay. Our TV signal also wasn't working our entire stay. We've complained every night and yet they didn't send someone to try to fix it until after we've checked out. We could hear the TV in the next room working perfectly fine. On that note, the walls and ceiling are extremely thin you can hear Everything we had to turn our sound machines on in order to fall asleep every night.

Nice staff but hotel does not have direct access to the beach or umbrellas. You need to walk for 5-7 minutes and then pay $22 for the umbrella to go with the “free” hotel designated chairs Elevator is scary and bounces and takes too long to dispatch. Not a good place if you have any injuries because you end up taking the stairs. They also booked us with a tour company that was oversold and totally ruined our afternoon after an hour of chaos. Not their fault but don’t use Miami Double Decker. They are highly unprofessional and rude and fraudulent.
