We spent three nights at this hotel and we are very satisfied. The hotel has an incredible, historic vibe that we were looking for. It is clear that the property is being systematically renovated. During our first visit, the room still had a slightly older bathroom, but during this stay, we were given a room that was freshly renovated – the bathroom was new and smelled of freshness. The rooms, as is typical for Art Deco buildings, are quite small, but honestly – what more could you need? On Ocean Drive, you spend most of your time outside anyway, and the room is mainly for resting. Everything was clean, refreshed, and had a soul. If someone is looking for authentic 1930s Miami in a modern version, this is a bullseye. We will definitely be back! The only minor downside was the housekeeping service – it happened that they didn't leave us fresh towels after cleaning, and we had to ask for them at the reception ourselves. However, the staff reacted quickly.

If I could give minus 1 star, I would. AVOID AT ALL COST! This is a filthy place that is not worth even a penny. There is a horrific hum in my room which is making my bed vibrate. When I asked for my room to be changed, the receptionist said they had no availability. Then I asked for my money back, so I could go to a better hotel. I was told that could not happen. When I told the receptionist that people pay to be able to get some sleep, the response was "People pay to have a room". So, not necessarily to to sleep - ridiculous! So, here I am wring this review at past 2am, because it is absolutely impossible to sleep. Not to mention how unbelievably dirty, stinky and run down it is. I have make up (not mine) all over my sheets and pillow cases, as well as hairs (again, not mine) all over the towels. Book a better hotel, there are plenty on Ocean Drive. I cannot even call this a hotel - it is a horrible slum! Cannot wait to the sun to come out, so I can leave this crap hole and go somewhere where I will be able to sleep!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cyborg-Style The Colony Hotel is one of the most iconic buildings on Ocean Drive and a true symbol of Miami Beach’s famous Art Deco Historic District. Its bright pastel blue facade and classic vertical “COLONY” sign make it one of the most photographed landmarks in South Beach. Located directly across from Lummus Park and the beach, the hotel sits in the heart of Ocean Drive where palm trees, ocean views, and historic architecture all come together. During the day the building stands out with its clean Art Deco lines and pastel colors, and at night it lights up with neon giving the entire area that classic retro Miami glow. It’s surrounded by restaurants, nightlife, and beach access, making it one of the best locations for experiencing the energy and history of South Beach all in one place. — Chris Raborg The Cyborg Project 🤖🌴🌊✨

Colony hotel is awesome. The restaurant Montanas is great. Sandra the young lady that waited on us Several evenings. The greatest waitress from Southern Spain, you could ever ask for! She made our trip so enjoyable. Anastasia was equally incredible as well.

Possibly the most iconic location on Ocean Drive! Our room was small, but large enough for the 2 of us. Yes could do with a little tlc, but what a location! Bathroom is adequate. The room serving is excellent. Bed comfy and clean. Lovely white towels. Beach towels available free of charge. Dont know if I mentioned it, but what a location! Eating at Montanas is recommended
