Very nice hotel located in a beautiful 100-year-old historic building. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well maintained while still keeping the charm and character of the original architecture. The atmosphere is unique and cozy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient for exploring Downtown LA. One thing to keep in mind is that there are quite a few homeless people around the DTLA area, especially at night, so I would recommend being a little more cautious when walking around late in the evening. This is more about the neighborhood rather than the hotel itself. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel, especially if you like historic buildings with character.

We had our 50th birthday party at Rudolph’s Bar at the Freehand Hotel, and it was absolutely perfect! This was the second event I’ve planned with Jennifer Wong, and she is amazing—organized, responsive, and made everything so easy. The space has such a fun vibe and was the perfect setting for an unforgettable night. The drinks were delicious, the bartenders were fantastic, and everything went off without a hitch. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. Highly recommend for anyone planning a special event!

Kevin’s service was amazing, he helped us a lot with our check in, he speaks perfect Spanish and English. The rooms are simple, not that uncomfortable, but don’t expect more and do not spect a good room service, they may or may not do the cleaning service despite my requests and my “please clean” sign (they only did it once in 4 days and told me that “they do it every other day”) there is no drinkable water on the bedrooms and they wont give you more than one bottle and only on the check in. The room wasn’t completely clean either, when we were trying to find a bottle of water, we found out a minibar with some previous guest food and sprite. The coffee is good, but way too pricey, however a great start for your day. Think about it as a “fancy-ish hostel” more than a hotel.

Great hotel to stay at. Friendly staff. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is in walking distance to Crypto.com arena as well as the train stations that can get you to Santa Monica, Hollywood Walk of Fame and other attractions. Pool was also a great feature

I stayed at the Freehand for almost a week while in town for business and visiting friends, and I had such a great experience! The customer service really stood out. Kevin, the Front Office General Manager, was incredibly quick, attentive, and helpful anytime we needed anything. Suhay was also wonderful and took great care of our room requests — I was honestly surprised and impressed that she even remembered my name the next day! Those little details really make you feel taken care of. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff throughout the hotel was great. The bartenders were amazing too — shoutout to Tyson for the amazing drinks! 🍸 The rooftop is definitely a bonus. It has such a fun atmosphere, and on Friday evening they had a DJ, which made it a great spot to hang out without even having to leave the hotel. Overall, a really enjoyable stay with genuinely great hospitality.
