We stayed at this hotel for seven days. The location and the rooms were excellent. However, I was unexpectedly charged an additional fee, and although I asked three different staff members about it, only the last person was able to clearly explain the situation and resolve the issue. The elevators were also problematic. At times, there weren’t enough for the number of guests, and one even had to be repaired by the fire department. On one occasion, we were inside an elevator that felt unstable, which was quite scary. The breakfast was decent for the price, but it could be improved by offering more fruit and additional protein options, or at least rotating the menu every couple of days.

Affordable place to stay in NYC. It’s close to WTC, Brooklyn bridge and battery park. The staffs here are so humble and supportive. Destiny was the receptionist and she did a wonderful job. Nicky was a kitchen staff who served amazing breakfast. The breakfast here is definitely worth a try. The rooms are pretty small and old but if you are a couple travelling without kids the room size might not bother you much.

We got a good deal on this hotel booking via Booking.com We’re a family of 4 and got the double room with two double beds. The room is extremely cramped, having two beds in the room leaves no space to walk around. There is also limited storage space for bags, coats and suitcases. The room is dark too, very little room lighting. On another note, the staff were brilliant. Kim at the reception is bubbly, helpful and very friendly. She really made our stay pleasant. The breakfast was ok, repetitive with not too many choices. The breakfast staff were also very helpful, sadly, didn’t get their names. All in all a great option with the subway lines close by.

Mixed Experience at a Tourist Hotel Near Wall Street Kim at the front desk was exceptional during Sunday check-in, patiently working through the Groupon booking process despite being unfamiliar with the system. However, several issues marred our stay. The hotel initially charged my card over $1,700 before releasing and refunding the amount—an unnecessary hassle. During my shower, the tub overfilled due to a clogged drain filled with debris. I requested maintenance, but the houseman who arrived spoke limited English and left without addressing the problem. More concerning, a housekeeper took an over-the-counter sleep aid I’d left with my prescriptions. Management waived the destination fee but provided no explanation for the missing medication. Reaching the front desk by phone proved nearly impossible—the line was consistently busy. On the positive side, the room itself was decent and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Street noise was noticeable but expected in New York. The complimentary breakfast offered standard hotel fare: bacon, eggs, turkey sausage, pastries, cereal, and juice. Bottom line: If you stay here, secure all personal items—including medications. Also note they don’t stock disposable razors; I had to walk to their sister property, The Indigo, to get one. You get what you pay for with discount bookings. Lesson learned.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express New York City-Wall Street for 2-3 days and had a fantastic experience. The buffet breakfast was truly exceptional—the sausage links, pancakes, and coffee were absolute show stoppers every morning. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was responsive and kind throughout my stay. A special shout-out to Destiny at the front desk who was incredibly sweet and accommodating. She kindly extended my checkout time without any issues, which made my departure much easier. The hotel’s prime location made it very convenient to commute, with easy access to the subway and walking distance to Wall Street, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, the Oculus, and other iconic attractions. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Lower Manhattan seeking comfort, great service, and a convenient location.
