This is a great hotel. It is very aesthetically pleasing. I enjoyed my stay here but I would say that the rooms are on the smaller side. The rooms also don’t have individual AC but fans which keep the room warm/hot and needed to request a fan from the front desk to stay cool at night. I enjoyed the breakfast but would suggest more variety. Fruit options were limited. Egg options were eh. The bacon was not crispy but that seems to be a Japanese thing with being cooked less and less crispy. Menu was more American than Japanese. We had a tour farewell dinner in the basement which was not very impressive. Portion size was quite small and I was still left hungry after a 4 course meal. The people there are very helpful and willing to accommodate. Photos below for reference. Overall would give this a 4.2 rating.

This was the best hotel I ever stayed at. The hotel is incredibly clean, every employee is extremely kind, the food is amazing, the ladies and gentlemen at the reception are very competent (even with complicated billing questions), the shuttle drivers are amazing and helpful, the employees at the entrance hand out umbrellas when it rains and were helping with bags, the food is delicious and the service is amazing (in both restaurants). Even the helpers standing in the lobby are very forthcoming. The green card and green coin system are also a nice concept to show that the hotel cares about the environment. I will certainly return.

We stayed for four nights. The hotel reception area is modern and spacious. The htoel breakfast buffet was yummy with lots of options for asian and american preferences. The rooms were a bit cramped for the 2 of us. There is a tea kettle and refrigerator in the room. No dresser to speak of except for one drawer. There was a humidifier in the room. The A/C is locked and cannot be adjusted. The room will feel warm when you first walk in but your body will adjust. Bathroom is decent with little space for toiletries. The price was decent for the room. The hotle provides a free shuttle to the JR Kyoto Station and runs on a daily schedule. You can walk to nearby Family Mart and 7-11 about a 5-7 minute walk. There a 2 ramen places about 7 minutes away. Other than that they area is pretty quiet. Staff was courteous and there are 3-4 restaurants on site.

Such a cozy hotel. Large rooms and great services. Free shuttle from airport, just a bit hard to figure out pick up location so email hotel ahead of time to confirm. Otherwise look out for the big brown van with the hotel name on it, comes around every 15-30 minutes.

We finished our Osaka tour on 18th and planned to spend 2 nights at Kyoto Tokyu Hotel. On 19th, which is the second day after we left Osaka, I found out I lost my belongs in my previous hotel in Osaka but I had no clue how to contact them asap since I don’t have a local telephone number. So I headed to concierge to make a request. Amindi helped me to call the Osaka hotel, asked them to deliver, and also plan it ahead for me to pick it up before checking out. She also left a message to my room to let me know everything was done when I was out. That’s soooo touching and so caring. Thank you Amindi and also the other staffs. I can really feel that everyone who works here spends a lot of patience to do the best service ever. Highly recommend you guys to stay at kyoto Tokyo hotel!
