Location to MRT was hands down the best part of this hotel. Room size seems to be a standard room size as some motels/hotels in USA. Comfortable to sleep. Walls are rather thin and can hear other rooms. For a first time visit to Singapore it worked out.

I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could. I had a fabulous stay here. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much to ask. The rooms are spacious enough and the beds and pillows are super comfy. I slept so well. The location is within the Arts district and there are wonderful old buildings that are suggestive of Singapore's past. However, it is also in close proximity to Orchard Rd and all it has to offer. Of particular note is Plaza Singapora. I would stay here again and would recommend it highly to anyone.

I recently stayed at Rendezvous Hotel Singapore (hotel was chosen by the travel agent) for a professional commitment, and it truly exceeded my expectations for a four star hotel. The atmosphere throughout the property strikes a refined balance between classic elegance and contemporary comfort, creating a setting that feels both polished and relaxed. My room was impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and exceptionally comfortable. The bedding was superb, the lighting well considered, and the overall layout practical without feeling impersonal. Everything functioned seamlessly, which made the stay feel effortless rather than merely adequate. The location is another undeniable advantage. Situated near Bras Basah and within easy reach of Orchard Road, the hotel offers convenient access to restaurants, cultural venues, and public transport. Getting around the city was simple and efficient, whether for business meetings or exploring at leisure. A special mention goes to the entire staff, who were consistently attentive, courteous, and genuinely helpful. Their professionalism felt natural rather than rehearsed, and every request was handled promptly and with care. Overall, Rendezvous Hotel Singapore delivers comfort, convenience, and thoughtful hospitality in equal measure. I would gladly return and confidently recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore.

The hotel was amazing and even upgraded our room for our anniversary, which made our stay extra special. The room was beautiful with a great view of the street and Marina Bay. The location was very convenient, just a short walk to the subway. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi. We can’t wait to stay here again when we visit Singapore. Highly recommended! ⭐

Terrible 4-night stay at Orchid Hotel Singapore, only Manager Melvine was helpful. Not recommended at all. 1. Severe sound insulation failure Night 1: constant banging I tolerated. 2AM Night 2: loud banging from next room woke me up, I requested a room change. Night 3 was still noisy: guests opposite talked loudly, neighbor banged the wall. The night staff even told the noisy guests I filed a complaint against them. Melvine moved me to another room next morning. I could not sleep well for 4 whole nights. 2. My new cleansing oil was thrown away by housekeeping Melvine kindly bought a new 150ml bottle to compensate me. But the Mandarin-speaking staff was rude and accused me of scamming the hotel. He claimed housekeeping tossed it thinking it was empty. He asked the volume, I guessed 50ml as I could not remember clearly. When I picked up the replacement, he mocked me: “You said 50ml but we gave you 150ml, do you have checked baggage allowance?” He implied I wanted to take advantage. I showed photos of my original 150ml bottle, then he suddenly lied that he already checked the size beforehand. The conversation was extremely unpleasant. 3. Staff gossiped about me and judged my outfit; management took no real action A Chinese staff Siqi spoke English to her coworker, falsely saying I lied about noisy rooms just to upgrade to a bigger room. Her coworker stared up and down my clothes judgmentally. I told Valerie (who delivered the cleansing oil) everything. She only gave Siqi a casual verbal warning. Siqi never apologized to me, no punishment or improvement measures were made. The hotel protected rude staff and ignored my bad experience. 4. Poor cleaning & mediocre breakfast Rooms had visible dust in corners. Breakfast had limited boring options with low value for money. Summary: Melvine was the only bright spot — he was polite, bought replacement oil and arranged airport transfer for me. But the hotel has fatal flaws: bad soundproofing, messy cleaning, bad breakfast. Many frontline staff lack basic professionalism: they slandered guests during compensation, twisted their words, gossiped behind backs and judged outfits. Management ignored staff’s rude behavior without accountability. These four nights were full of troubles. I will never book here again and warn other travelers to avoid this hotel.
