We really enjoyed our stay at Sugar Bay. Great and amazing hotel. The whole staff and management are so nice, professional and accommodating. They made our stay wonderful and relaxing. It’s in a great location right on Hastings. The pool and beach area is chill and relaxing. The bartenders at both beach bars and Pool bar made the best drinks!! The buffets at the Reef restaurant were amazing, with lots of menu options. Also loved the lunch menus at the beach restaurant. The whole facility and rooms are always clean. Staff, Food, drinks, beach and pool are spot on.

This location exceeds my expectation in terms of hospitality and not selling me any package to return. I spent one week and I felt at home. The connection and friendship between the serve team was genuine and unforced. Big shout out to Matinaz, Kelly, Nnegina, Rachael, Richard, Ajani, Nathaniel, Brandon, Paul, Andre, Christina, Tiffany, Tyshaun, Sharika, Kai….. I will visit the hotel again and again

My experience at Sugar Bay was awesome! The service was great and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I felt comfortable and relaxed there. The food at the Reef was delicious and varied. I would also highly recommend Sizzle Steakhouse. My blackened snapper dinner was sumptuous and the seaffod chowder was tasty. The spa experience was also amazing. I had a massage and my dad had a manicure and pedicure. Shout out to the spa staff. Great job! I would definitely visit again.

Had an amazing stay at the end of August and would recommend a visit if you are looking to visit Barbados. 20 mins from the airport, siruated right on the beach. We were made to feel welcome the moment we got our of the taxi. Great room directly above the buffet reaturant with a great sea view. Our family room was clean and spacious with 1 room with the double bed, open sink area and toilet and shower, with the other area having 2 single beds, a swating area and access to the balcony with a bed and 2 seats. Food is either buffet restaurant, the pan asian or the steakhouse. The food at the buffet was exceptional although when you first walk in it doesn't look much. The quality is there though. Different themes every day (Mexican, local, British, Indian etc) with always fish and meat related dishes available. In particular, the freshly baked muffins amd cakes were always lovely - especially liked the red velvet based ones. Staff were also excellent. Andrea, Rochelle and Aziza really made us feel looked after during our stay. The beach is literally 10 seconds walk from the buffet resturant. Beach towels in the room can be refreshed daily at a hut on the beach as well as freely available snorkels and boards to use. Ask there for umbrellas to be set up for you. Beach is sandy with a rock barrier creating a mini lagoon reducing the waves current partly. Would recommend water shoes though as the water is scattered with stone areas in its varying depth. Max depth was around 2m in just a few places. Wifi is mostly ok. Can lose signal in the beach not surprisingly and can lose throughput sometimes in the main hotel part. Definte recommend. Food and service make this hotel something special.

I’m writing this review because the reviews were a big part of my decision making on my vacation . I am so glad I decided on Sugar Bay ! When we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms and a nice cold beer Natalie at the reception was absolutely amazing. She explained everything to us regarding the hotel and then a wonderful gentleman I believe his name was Dave showed that to our room and just explained a few details. The room was nicely decorated and very clean. We had a balcony overlooking the ocean the view was stunning. The beach it’s absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas on the beach .The Reef bar was right on the beach which serves delicious frozen drinks and had amazing bartenders Re-Shawn , Damion and Xavier to name a few . The fruit kabobs serves on the beach was a nice treat. The pool was nice with a swim up bar but we spent most of our time at the beach .The buffet breakfast,lunch and dinner were served in the Reef restaurant. There was a wide selection of food I personally I think there was something for everyone. There are three restaurants and during your stay you can have one dinner at the one of your choice . We chose Sizzle steakhouse where I ate one of the best steaks I ever had. There was also great nightly entertainment . The entire staff was fantastic ! There was always someone to help you with anything needed. We felt really safe at this resort with all the security walking around .If you are looking for a fun yet very relaxing vacation this is definitely the place .I would recommend this resort to anyone visiting Barbados.
