This is the first time I have ever written a negative Google review for any hotel, resort, or business, even though I have had bad experiences before. However, my stay at The Anam Cam Ranh was so disappointing that I feel I have to share it. I booked 3 nights at the resort, but after just 1 night, my family and I decided to check out early and leave, even though it meant losing the money for the remaining 2 nights. The service and overall experience were simply unacceptable for a resort in this price range. The poor experience started from the airport pick-up. The hotel driver did not greet us, did not say anything, and there was no water, no cold towel, and no welcoming gesture at all. It did not feel like the arrival experience of a high-end resort. When we arrived and checked in, the room was not as clean as expected. The private pool also looked dirty and had not been properly cleaned. Inside the room, there were three jars meant for nuts or dried fruits, but all three were completely empty. It looked like they had been used by previous guests and the resort simply forgot to replace them. We chose a room/villa with a kitchen because we were travelling with a young child and wanted to warm up food for our child. However, when we asked about using the kitchen, we were told that it could not be used unless we paid around VND 1.2 million per hour, which is about USD 50 per hour, just to turn on the stove. This was very unreasonable, especially for a room designed with a kitchen and priced at a premium level. The food at the resort was also not good compared with what we expected. The next day, after housekeeping cleaned the room, they even forgot to refill the drinking water. Overall, the staff were very slow in handling issues and did not seem genuinely supportive. What disappointed me the most was that when I told the resort I wanted to check out early and would forfeit the remaining 2 nights, they simply accepted it without showing any real concern, effort to understand the problem, or attempt to make things right. I do not think the issue is with individual staff members, as most of them were generally polite. The problem seems to come from the overall operating system, service standards, and customer-care culture of the resort. This was a very bad experience for my family. I personally would not recommend this resort. If you are planning to stay in Cam Ranh, I would suggest considering other resorts with better service standards. And if you are looking for a better beach and a more reliable luxury resort experience, Phu Quoc may be a much better choice.

My wife and I stayed at the Anam for 5 days, and it was fantastic from start to finish. This is our third trip to Vietnam, having been twice before to Hoi An, but after visiting this hotel, it will be hard to stay at any other hotel...! We were met directly in front of the baggage claim by a staff member who looked after our bags while we got a coffee, having taken two hours to get through immigration at the airport. I'd recommend checking a few days in advance how many flights are arriving at the same time as yours, and if there are more than 2 or 3, definitely pay for the fast track immigration. Upon arriving at the hotel we were welcomed by Alex, he was so friendly and always took a moment to say hello to us even when clearly very busy throughout the stay. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Colonial for breakfast each day at this point too. Breakfast at the Colonial was absolutely incredible. I've eaten a lot of great hotel breakfasts, but the breakfast here was on another level. A la carte with a variety of choices, including pho, eggs benedict, continental breakfast, greek yogurt and others. Needless to say they were all A+ quality. There was also a very impressive buffet too with fruit, charcuterie, and of course, with it being Vietnam, INCREDIBLE breads too. And with sparkling wine available too, it was worth waking up and getting to the restaurant at 7am every day to enjoy. The hotel has three pools and a large private beach with loungers. Each of the pools has seating with a QR code to order, the menu wasn't as substantial as at other hotels I've stayed, and the service was often quite slow, with it taking 20 minutes for a bottle of beer to be delivered to the pool area, but this was only a minor issue. The hotel also has two restaurants adjacent to the beach, one with more Western food and one with Vietnamese food. Both were high quality, but we found ourselves going to the Vietnamese restaurant more. One thing to mention is that compared to other hotels in Vietnam, the prices are quite on the high side, but still not too unreasonable and worth paying for the quality. On Saturday night we also attended a barbecue buffet at one of the hotel restaurants, there was a wonderful selection of different meat and seafood, including oysters which were my favourite. This was also a bit on the expensive side for what it was, although the quality was great. I also have to mention the massages we had at the Spa. My wife had a pregnancy massage, and I opted for the signature Anam massage, and it was, again, fantastic. The staff are so skilled and made us both feel completely relaxed. It would be worth staying at the Anam just to receive a massage there. We stayed in two different rooms over the course of our stay, and both of them were excellent, one of them being in the main building and one being in a smaller building adjacent to the beautiful grass lawn which covers most of the hotel's area. The rooms were serviced daily and had a turndown service every evening too, there were no issues and I was very happy with the quality of both rooms. All in all, we had a fantastic stay at the Anam Cam Ranh, if I had to choose one thing to mention above all else though, it would be the quality of the service, each and every single employee at the hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, greeting us and checking that everything was okay. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait until we are able to visit again!

I recently stayed at The Anam for a wedding and it was stunning. The beach views, with crystal-clear water and soft, golden sand that looks like something out of a postcard. One of the staff that stood out was Kai, he went above and beyond to help me with any queries. The room wasn’t ready as I got there early but they offered use of the pool facilities. I ate at the hotel quite a bit but you can easily get a 10mins Grab and there are loads of restaurants there. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always one step ahead, making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. From check-in to departure, everything felt seamless and genuinely welcoming. A beautiful setting paired with exceptional service—this is exactly the kind of place you don’t want to leave.

An outstanding resort! From the warm welcome to the amazing staff who helped where they could, I really enjoyed my experience. So much so, that I didn't even go into Nha Trang and stayed at the resort my entire stay. The welcome snack and drinks was really good: a lemony/calamansi sour and sweet drink with a butter cookie? Amazing. The beach and water looked like a dream. I came for a wedding and the staff prepared the ceremony and reception beautifully. Most events were held at the Axi Plaza, located just outside the resort (also connected by pathway or transport buggy by staff) The rooms were spacious and clean. They have every toiletry item you might need in the bathroom -- a plus for the bath salts to use in the big tub. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of food. Highly recommend the salted cream coffee! You have to pay for the drink but it's worth it.

We spent 3 nights in The Anam Camranh and was very happy with the choice during Tết holidays. The first good impression we had was the care of the resort’s managers and staff to the customers. The villa was spacious, well-maintained furniture and very clean. I loved the privacy aspect of each villa, very well designed. There are lots of choices for the breakfast buffet. But as I am not a big fan of buffet, I paid attention to coffee, bread and patisserie quality. I must say I was most impressed with the croissant and pain au chocolat quality. Kudos to the chef as it’s not easy to find good croissants in most of the hotels/resorts in Vietnam. The espresso we took was excellent!!!! Our dinner at the Beach club was excellent. I was not really expecting that quality dinner at a bistro restaurant but I was really impressed. The starter of grilled scallop was perfect with the condiment topping (which turned out a very nice blend). The platter of grills was moderate but it was fresh. Was a bit disappointed with three tiramisu but overall, we were satisfied. We couldn’t ask for more. Thank you the Anam team!
