If you're Coeliac this is not a hotel for you. Restaurant and Kitchen staff together with management do not take this condition seriously. Two weeks of constantly asking what was gluten free ruined this holiday. There was also clear cross contamination evident on the deserts which indicates that the kitchen didn't take any necessary precautions. Most of the restaurant staff were disinterested and occasionally rude. However, bar staff and cleaning staff were excellent. The room was spacious and clean but a little dated and tired looking. Pool area was well maintained. The location was good, around 10 minute walk into Holetown. In general the hotel needs refurbishment and a change of key staff is needed to get it up to scratch. Personally, I wouldn't say it was four star, more three star plus. It has the potential to be do much better.

This was the first time in Barbabos and not the last. The Club Barbados was on a hunch but it far exceeded expectations. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. We had an ocean view loft room overlooking the sea with beautiful sunsets (note small additional staircase). The food was fabulous and plenty of variety. Sandy Lane beach is round the corner and easy to reach and we had beautiful morning walks on the beach. There is free use of beach towels and snorkels and a complimentary 30 min sailing trip which is a must do. Lots of options to see the island. Easy to stay in the hotel but worth seeing Harrison caves and the Nature Reserve and of course Ostins. Best thing was the resort is very relaxed. There is only smart/ casual wear for dinner and don't need to overdress! Try the Bob Marley cocktail!

I am with the reviewer who wondered if the reviews about bad service stayed at a different hotel. From day 1 the staff knew our names and the entire time they went out of their way to be helpful and kind. The room cleaning was great, mopping everyday, even lining up our shoes in a neat row by the door. When we didn’t get picked up for an excursion (arranged independently of the hotel) the manager spent 10-15mins looking for a way to locally contact the company for us. The bar tenders learned my mom was limiting drinking because she was diabetic so made her some great low/no sugar options while we were there. We enjoyed the food. The pool and beach area was never over crowded/always a spot could be found. And I was happy to see how many fishes you could see snorkeling just a few feet off the shore from the resort. We much preferred the size of this hotel to the mega resorts, everything seemed more relaxed and there was still everything we could want. Would 100% stay here again.

What an amazing place have just spent 3 weeks over Christmas and New Year, the food, accommodation and staff were all first rate. Caroline the General Manager and her husband Mark were always available for any queries we had and always had time for a chat.Many clients were on return visits and cannot wait to join them again.

Reading some of the reviews, I wonder if we were staying at the same hotel. Everything was great from the greeting we received on arrival to the day we left. The staff were extremely helpful, good selection of food & drinks. Good size rooms & well kept . Plenty of sun beds at time of day, daily change of beach towels if required. Would definitely return to this hotel.
