The hotel itself has some great facilities. Swimming pool, spa, rooms, restaurants etc. The breakfast was lovely and the food quality superb. We loved that the sea/beach was just a few steps down. What let it down was the service and hospitality. Royal Apollonia, albeit a Greek name, lacks the Greek hospitality we have experienced in places like Cyprus and Greece before. Our welcome was very underwhelming. Some staff were fantastic (breakfast for instance) but 60-70% of our interactions were average for the quality of the hotel itself . The bar experience was not the best. There was a chap by the towel stand by the pool who was lacking friendliness. My wife, who was hoping to practice her Greek was unable to speak to anyone as hardly anyone spoke Greek and when she tried sometimes she got a blunt response ‘I don’t speak Greek, speak English please’. Hotel itself was great, but service was mediocre. I’d expect more for the price we paid. Really hoping the Greek hospitality is not lost. I would give this a 3.5 but can only do a 3 or 4.

The hotel is lovely. It has everything you could want. Nice and peaceful. No pool games or loud music! The food is very sophisticated and well made. Buffet breakfast is constantly refilled and has everything I could think of. Waiter service for tea coffee etc so that saves you keep getting up for a cup of tea. Pool area is great. All kept very clean and tidy with plenty of space and sun beds. Nice pool but a bit cold in October. The beach is small but private and has sunbeds. Sea warm and clean. Reception staff are brilliant they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Bus times, directions, advice and suggestions for places to go. The hotel has a main road at the back and we asked to move rooms. Diana and Mahmoud were amazing. They could not have done more for us. They hand delivered the key for a beautiful sea view room and were so kind and helpful. They genuinely wanted to ensure we had the best holiday. Nothing was too much trouble. Great staff and an asset to the company. Limassol itself was not to our taste. Very built up with lots of graffiti but did feel safe for walking. Buses very easy to use and lots of taxis available. The Royal Apollonia is an amazing hotel with a wonderful atmosphere! Everything is new, the rooms are beautiful and very clean, and the pool and facilities are excellent. The location is perfect. The staff is friendly and attentive, making our stay extra special. We celebrated my husband's birthday, and they went out of their way to make it memorable. Our stay was truly enjoyable and relaxing. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for excellent service and a fantastic experience!

Excellent all inclusive stay. All staff very helpful and service is always delivered with a smile and promptly. Stand out member was Rafael from dining room. Our room was well equipped though sofa and chairs need replacing as they are uncomfortable. Food in buffet was good quality with a huge choice of hot and cold. As with every buffet food could have been hotter but full marks for very hot plates. Greek restaurant was excellent with a good varied menu and nicely cooked and presented. Service there was excellent led by Rafael. Bar service was very good with bar tenders first class and good table service both in the lounge and outside being very prompt. Entertainment some evenings from local musicians/singers was good. Reception staff always helpful as was porterage. Externally large seated terrace some nicely shaded. Local feral cats occasionally a nuisance. Huge attractive pool with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. Some sunbeds needed replacing. Smallish sandy beach with good safe swimming. Lifeguard always in attendance. Separate children's pool area with sunbeds. A thoroughly enjoyable off-season holiday.

From the moment we arrive, he is always ready to help with anything we need, and he does it incredibly quickly and efficiently Ibrahim is one of those rare people who can make your stay noticeably better: attentive, friendly, and consistently professional. No matter the request, he handles everything with ease and a smile. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about guests’ comfort, and his service always goes above and beyond He is truly a star of the hotel - super helpful, super responsive, and just an overall amazing person!!!
