We loved our stay! First time on the island and found this hotel is perfect for visiting the area. Staff are amazing! We loved the al a carte menu with lots of choices, all beautifully presented. The room although a little bit tired was very comfy and the view was what you would want for a barbados holiday and you could never get tired of. You can hear the waves, the birds and at times the fun buses. All the hotel staff there were super friendly and helpful. Zack Shane and Terry ran the bar and were excellent at keeping everyone happy and topped up. There is an amazing selection of premium drinks inc a super cocktail menu. Sheniqua at reception went out of her way to suggest places to visit and arranged our catamaran trip which was so much fun!. We did eat out a couple of times and the food was lovely however the hotel food is as good if not better! Would definitely return to this hotel!

What a wonderful hotel that has everything!! Great Al a Carte food, breakfast, lunch and dinner! Lovely room with a comfy 6ft Bed & Ocean View balcony! Great array of drinks, fantastic bar area but most of all, were the Staff.......Linda, front desk agent, Tameeka on the bar, Shane with his music singing and dancing to us also on the bar & Michelle with the fantastic rum tasting on a wednesday morning our Happiness Manager! Thankyou to everyone who made our trip special including all the guests we met! Sue & Reggie! XXXX

Just back from a 10 night stay at The Soco Hotel. Let start with the good bits... Waiting staff are fantastic, nothing to much trouble, friendly, polite and amazing. Bar staff, again fantastic service from Zac, Shane and Michelle, kept the drinks coming and remembered your tipple A good selection of drinks and cocktails...although sometimes ran out of a few bits..but usually replenished next day. Location, right on the sea with a small beach access with loungers and parasols. Right on the end of the boardwalk which is fantastic for a stroll along to other beaches, shops, restaurants and bars. Good location for jumping on a bus to explore other areas. Pool area, ample pool for the size of the hotel, seating areas with sunbeds around the pool...possibly need a few more during busy times. Perfect for a dip to cool off. Food, good selection for lunch and dinner, all well prepared and fresh, afternoon tea also served but personally not required though, seems a waste. 3 course at lunch time may also be a bit much but delicious all the same. Now for the not so good bits: Hotel is a little dated, fixtures and fittings are a bit tired, doors to rooms in a shabby state, lampshades in the room are dirty, furniture used as bedside tables also grubby as was the couch, grouting in the bathroom could do with a good scrub. No lift so be prepared for stairs, which are also narrow. At the start of our stay we were disappointed to day the least, but once having met the staff, other guests and eaten, the positives outweighed the negatives.. but for the cost of this hotel I would expect a little more attention to detail with the rooms etc.

We've just returned from our first trip to Barbados and stayed at The SoCo, it was brilliant! The staff are amazing and particular mention must go to Michelle (for being a lovely host and for the fabulous rum tasting 😀) Shane on the bar for keeping us entertained with his music and singing, Zach on the bar, for his lovely smile and cheeky comments, Ayeesh and Shakeela in the Restaurant, always smiling and friendly. We loved that it only had 24 rooms which made getting to know other guests really easy. we met some great characters. The room was a good size, bed really comfortable, lots of storage and great views over the ocean. It would have been handy to have a mirror near a plugsocket in the bedroom area though. The food was great, cooked to order, fresh and hot. Menu changed every 2 or 3 days. Breakfast menu could do with a change of dishes every few days too as became a bit samey. Great location, boardwalk along the sea front up to Rockley Bay. There are a few bars and restaurants along there if you fancied a change of scenery. There's a small beach with sunbeds but you can carry on walking for up the beach and find some lovely spots to put your beach towel. More sunbeds needed around the pool maybe removing some of the casual seating as this wasn't used often. The hotel does need a little TLC in some areas, restaurant needs brightening up, corridors need painting, sunbeds need replacing and maybe a coffee machine in the bar area would be good addition. These are only observations and I hope the owners take note as you've got an absolute gem and we would definitely stay again and totally recommend it to others.

Great locatiom right near the best beach in the area. Our flight was cancelled and delta paid for us to be put in this hotel. The manager Cindi helped us tremendously by cordinating with delta for our transportation and accomodation. The front desk - Giddeon was also very kind and the service over all was some of the best I have experienced.
