Beach Street is a hive of flowing creativity, where holidaymakers can admire street art and murals in a living art gallery. Just off Beach Street, the Wonderfood Museum showcases larger-than-life replicas of Malaysia’s most iconic dishes. Explore this destination’s rich culinary heritage, take photos beside the humungous bowls of food and sample mouthwatering flavours for yourself. Take in the panoramic sights from Penang Hill’s rainforest canopy bridges, elevated walkways sitting 800 metres above sea level. If you don’t want to trek to the top, Asia’s longest funicular railway ride is available for a unique experience. Visit after dark for a nocturnal nature walk, where you can spot flying lemurs and other endemic wildlife.

Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur

The futuristic global city of Kuala Lumpur offers a blend of towering skyscrapers, traditional architecture and lush jungles. Probably the most famous attraction in Malaysia's capital city, the Batu Caves are an experience you won’t want to miss. Colourful steps will lead you to caverns built into 400-million-year-old limestone cliffs that hide Hindu shrines and wild monkeys within. Thean Hou Temple is an ornate structure that juxtaposes the modern skyline. Visit this six-tiered Chinese place of worship to admire its sweeping pagoda, red lanterns and prayer hall that features three altars, statues and intricate Chinese iconography. Regarded as a buzzing hive in the heart of the city, Petaling Street is home to wet markets that sell fresh local produce, street food, souvenirs and other wares. Arrive early in the morning or come after dusk to see this hotspot at its liveliest. For an awe-inspiring sunset, head up to the Skybridge of the Petronas Twin Towers.

Pangkor Laut
