Great place but wasted potential. We went for 3 nights with out little boy who's 2.5 for a 'recharge' break. Now the hotel grounds and lobby are stunning, check in felt 5* and the pools genuinely are amazing. Absolutely no complaints. Where I feel it really lacks is captialising on the basics. A morning coffee for me is essential, staying round europe and the world at other 5* spa resorts (not all inc) I'd expect to be able to purchase a morning coffee of a high quality - at Asia Gardens you are stuck with a quite poor breakfast buffet, machine coffee which is in paper cups to take out the busy dining hall. Given the pristine seating areas (like outside the Koh Samui restaurant) it's criminal not to be able to unwind. Beyond the front desk, service was 'ok'. Poolside in the heated pool we ate and drank all day, each time I would have to go to the bar to request drinks and food, did not feel premium. Huge potential here and I'd love to go back IF the basics were fixed. Otherwise, hotels like Nous in Santorini are a better option.

We expected so much more after seeing the appealing pictures and in the knowledge that the hotel is part of the prestigious LHW group. This is a decent four star hotel with a beautiful garden. However, it is far far away from being luxurious and has some issues that make me want to not come back. Our room was spacious and clean. The interior shows its age and there are just two chairs and a small table on the balcony, no sun loungers. Housekeeping is a lottery, some days you will get new towels or hygiene supplies, some days you won’t. The hotel has a free WiFi throughout, but the cover is patchy and the connection (40Mbps at best, mostly 2-5) unstable. Mind you, it’s not password protected, so all security warnings went off on my machines. I‘d be careful about using it to access my ebanking. Excellent gym with the latest Technogym equipment. Restaurants vary in quality: Lombocci was abominable, Koh Samui decent and the pool grill really good but, alas, not open for the evening. Now for the deal-breaker: the loungers at the pool are old, rusty and quite full of bird droppings. The covers vary, but the birds leave their marks and it is not getting cleaned. The hotel issues green cards entitling you to one (!) towel per day. So, if your towel is wet or you want a second one as the first one is covering the bird poo, good luck. Not collecting the green card at the end of the day results in a €35.- penalty. Quite the attitude for a luxury hotel. The main pool closes at 19:00. Don’t worry, the pool boy will unmistakably let you know that it’s time to leave and no, sorry or please are not part of his vocabulary. The hotel is hosting conventions and is not really oriented towards the individual tourist imho. You may check the final bill, as we've had someone else's drinks on it. The hotel took it off the bill without any fuss, but you still should check it.

My husband booked Asia Gardens Spa for my birthday. The grounds are stunning, The hotel itself is also very pretty. However, The room we were allocated was tired. The walls were marked, furniture, rug and fixtures a bit tatty. The bathroom had the most awful strong smell of urine so much we didn't want to walk in there without our shoes on! We had a couples massage which was lovely I cant fault it. The staff are super nice too. The food was edible just, I had lamb shank my husband steak. Both meals were barely warm and my lamb shank was dry it was a far cry from the 5 star dining experience we were expecting. Also for a hotel that focuses so much on nature and being Zen it still serves Foie Gras which is outdated, a disgusting practice and should be revised. I think it would be prudent for Asia Gardens to take note of the reviews now and to try and resolve some of the issues mentioned as our issues are not an isolated occurrence. This could really be a beautiful top notch place to visit but unfortunately as it is now it needs a bit of work to bring it up to the 5 stars it claims to be.

We recently spent a few days at Asia Gardens and overall had a good stay — but also left feeling that the experience fell short of what you would expect from a five-star hotel in this price range. The good: The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning. From the moment you drive onto the property, you feel like you’ve been transported to Southeast Asia. The gardens are immaculately maintained — we didn’t see a single corner that looked neglected. The rooms are beautiful, spotless, and in excellent condition. The breakfast buffet is generous and very tasty, although it doesn’t change much from day to day. The food quality in all the restaurants we tried was consistently excellent. The Kids Club deserves a special mention — the staff were incredibly friendly, the facilities are lovely, and the children absolutely loved it. We especially appreciated the option for kids to have dinner with the Kids Club team, which gave us parents a quiet evening every now and then. The spa facilities are also beautiful, and the massages we booked were of excellent quality, both in terms of technique and atmosphere. The not-so-good: For a hotel of this category, the guest experience felt surprisingly transactional. Nearly everything comes with an extra charge, prices are very high, and there is little sense of the hotel going the extra mile to make guests feel special. Examples: no welcome drink, no small touches for the kids, no proactive introduction to the property — you simply check in and are on your own. Although the Kids Club is fantastic, the rest of the resort is not particularly family-friendly. There are many pools, but only one is heated and open to children. At that pool, guests are asked to be quiet — so there’s no place where kids can simply splash around and be kids without feeling like they’re disturbing others. Another surprise: there’s no food or drink service by the pool. If you want to eat during the day, you have to go to one of the restaurants. And while the food is great, the pricing is steep: €10 for fries, €9 for an ice cream, €5 for a soda, €9 for a small side of basmati rice. There’s no option for a simple, more casual or affordable snack. Service & guest experience: The staff, while polite, were not very proactive. For example, one evening our drinks at the bar took a very long time to arrive, even though we were the only guests there. Because of this delay we were running late for our dinner reservation and kindly asked the waitress if she could call the restaurant to let them know. Her first reaction was to tell us to walk to the reception ourselves. Only after insisting did she reluctantly make the call — something we would consider standard service in any five-star property. Lack of adult activities: While the spa is lovely, the hotel offers surprisingly little in terms of activities or entertainment for adults. During our stay, there was no live music, no evening entertainment, and only a limited sports offering (a couple of yoga and pilates sessions). Although there’s a beach volleyball court, there were no organized games or other sports activities. If you don’t want to book spa treatments, there’s not much to do as an adult guest, which feels unusual for a hotel of this category. Overall: This is a beautiful property with excellent facilities — but compared to other five-star hotels at a similar price point, it lacks the thoughtful touches and hospitality that turn a good stay into a memorable one. With just a bit more focus on guest experience, service proactivity, and meaningful activities for both families and adults, it could be truly exceptional.

If you think a gold-plated Rolls Royce is the height of sophistication, then this is the place for you. If you are looking for a hotel with a spa that offers excellent service and fine dining then you should look elsewhere. The location is absolutely stunning and the grounds are beautiful, it’s great for Instagram. Unfortunately they offer a very poor service to anyone who is not in a suite or part of a corporate event. They cancelled our taxi service with no reason, simply saying that picking up from Benidorm is ‘too difficult’ edit: they have some of their own cars which they originally said would be fine and subsequently cancelled, this was not a local taxi service They failed to pick up the phone when we were trying to reach concierge services - we tried several times over two days to no avail. An off-duty member of staff later informed us that they routinely ignore calls that do not come from a suite. If you want a digital detox forget it - almost everything was on a VR code, from food menus to spa bookings. The whole attitude to their guests is ‘you should feel privileged that you have been allowed to come and spend money here’ and the service does not come close to matching the pricing. Look elsewhere, unless you just want a pretty photo; this would be one star except for the grounds which really are stunning.
