Divi is one of the more affordable options when looking at resorts and self catering options. We a family of 4, we had a good time here and don’t have any complaints. The rooms were clean , there was housekeeping twice a week and the bins and towels changed daily. It’s in a good location and staff are pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and it’s not pretentious which I like. It’s not a five star hotel so the amenities are not at that level it’s more basic but that was fine for us. There are 3 swimming pools, they are nice but standard. 1 is a small kiddie pool which is shallow. There wasn’t anywhere near the pools to get food or drink but that didn’t both us too much. There is a restaurant a few minutes walk towards to beach again it was nice enough we only used it once or twice. Access to the beach is good yes you have to cross a small road but again for us it’s fine and the walk is what you might do on a larger resort anyway. It’s best for people who are using the hotel as a base and more independent. During our stay it was refreshing and nice to meet guests more local to the country and not just UK and USA. It met our basic needs and felt our stay was pleasant and the kids weee happy enough. We would definetly return.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing 3 night stay at Divi Southwinds Beach Resort! From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcome. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The breakfast every morning was excellent with a great selection of fresh and delicious food. The breakfast staff were incredibly welcoming and provided wonderful service each day. A special thank you to the maintenance gentleman, who was also very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The pool was absolutely amazing, clean, spacious, and perfect for relaxing with the family. The resort has a wonderful atmosphere, and we truly enjoyed every moment of our vacation. We highly recommend Divi Southwinds Beach Resort and would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Barbados! 🌴☀️🏖️

My room was fully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Great amenities and location. 24 hour pool is a nice option to have for a late night swim after dinner at the gap nearby. The true highlight was the service of the reception team. Chestanika and Heather Knights took exceptional care of me making my check in and check out process very smooth and alleviated all stressors relating to departure. Thank you to them for their hospitality, they are gems and so is this hotel - I will be staying here any time I am in Barbados.

This may not be a 5 star resort, but it is still a wonderful hotel. The room I had was nice (penthouse suite) and the cost was reasonable. I can only imagine how this place would be and look with modern upgrades/renovations. If you can get past the hotel not being ultra modern, you will definitely be pleased. Also, the customer service is excellent. I was supposed to checkout at 10 but I was given until 12 to allow my son extra time to enjoy the pool. The staff went above and beyond and they deserve commending (the front desk, Heather, Hamilton, Brian, etc.). They are a great representation of real hospitality. I definately recommend this hotel if you are okay without all the ultra modern luxury bells and whistles that saturates everything these days. However, I don't recommend coming if your expectations are luxury and you like to complain about everything. I usually stay in 5 star and 4 star hotels. This time I took a chance to try something different because of a promotion (i always say you get what you pay for), but I was okay with the hotel and accommodations because I didn't come expecting the four seasons (however the treatment is definitely four seasons quality). The bottom line is, if you are coming to enjoy the resort and staff with open-mindedness, you will leave happy, satisfied, and will return to the hotel again.

My family and I enjoyed every aspect of Divi. Smooth check in. Went straight to the room. They were more than happy to switch us to a lower floor rather than the top floor....thanks a million Shernada (hope i spelt it right, front desk supervisor) The facilities are amazing and very kid friendly Pureocean wait staff and bartender ( cant remember his name very unique name. Toscinata(hope i spelt it right)( Leo...bday on 15th Aug) you are amazing. Thanks divi staff we will definitely return!
