My stay at this property exceeded my expectations! The staff members are consummate professionals who extended themselves to accommodate my needs during my stay. A huge “Thank You!” to the following front desk agents: Caroline, Jenni, and Shakeem, and Makayla in Food & Beverage. They ensured that I enjoyed a fantastic stay! This property is located on a quiet, pristine stretch of beach, although the current can be a bit strong occasionally. My room had fantastic views of the ocean and was just steps away from the beach. Overall, I enjoyed a fun and relaxing stay at this property, and highly recommended Southern Palms Beach Club to anyone who visits Barbados!

I hope this message finds you well. I recently had the pleasure of staying at your hotel and wanted to share my impressions. The location is truly excellent, situated on what I believe to be the best beach in the area. While the rooms are quite basic, they were very clean, which I greatly appreciated. Most importantly, the WiFi was excellent, allowing me to stay connected without any issues. Additionally, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well, ensuring a pleasant stay throughout. Thank you for providing such a comfortable and convenient experience. I look forward to visiting again.

Great hotel right on the beach. Big rooms with massive balcony with giant beds (We had the garden view which was also a view of the beautiful beach and sea. The staff that work here are so helpful, friendly and cheerful it is as if they had gathered the nicest people on the island of Barbados and got them all to work in this hotel. Reception was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they were happy to help with anything. I didn't know many of the staff by name but Richard was such a nice guy that you wanted to give him a big cuddle and Derek who worked in the restaurant and served us dinner one evening were two that made our stay feel so good. The food is good the location is second to none. Right in the centre of St Lawrence Gap with lots of bars and restaurants very close by. You have the capital, Bridgtown and Carlisle Bay 10 minutes up the road in one direction and Oistins with it's famous Fish Fry 10 minutes away in the other (get the local bus for about £1.25). Great hotel in a beautiful part of the island, lovely people here.What is not to like? Thank you Southern Palms Beach Resort. Everything was spot on. Incredible place to stay. We will be back.

This will be my go to hotel in Barbados. To set expectations, the hotel definitely shows its age, but the cleanliness makes up for any noticeable wear and tear. The rooms: Amazingly clean! The housekeepers move furniture to clean the floors! I get skeebed out easily yet I struggled to find a problem. Nothing set off my creepy radar. I wound up staying in two rooms on the property. My travel plans were from Sat - Wed but my boyfriend and I decided to extend our stay to departing Sat, which meant we had to make a new reservation. The only room available was their suite. WOW 🤩 TWO FLOORS!! TWO VIEWS!! We had an ocean front view and a rooftop. Clean as a whistle again. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you would need, even a cheese grater, strainer and wine bottle opener. If you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Again, this hotel has age so the walls are thin and you can hear a lot from outside but nothing abnormal, just life happening - ocean, creeks, animals at night, light pool fun during the day, and maybe the lovely singer across the street. Something makes a loud noise at night. We think they are frogs making noise. This will likely annoy a picky grump. No judgement, just a warning. The food: we had to force ourselves to eat off-property. Don’t get me wrong, this is not Michelin star quality, but REALLY damn tasty. I had everything on the menu and loved it all. The waitstaff were amazing as well. One of our waiters gave me and my boyfriend a gift. Shout out to Ken (gift giver), Michelle (waitress), Ms. June (bartender), and the rest of the restaurant and kitchen staff. Very well done and thanks to them! The property: TWO POOLS! Stunning views. Clean beach (of course within reason…nature is going to do what nature is going to do). WARNING ⚠️, if you’re allergic to cats 🐈 you will want to load up on allergy meds. They run the property. I’m pretty sure they are the managers. There are 5 that roam the property. They aren’t aggressive beggars but quite present. We also saw little crabs “going home” at night by burrowing in the shrubbery. We saw them at sundown. The location: everything you would want or need is within walking distance. The hotel is at the end of the “strip”, so it gets pretty quiet. Directly across the street is a cute little bar called My Friend’s Place. They have live music outside and it’s sooo entertaining. Their singer on Wednesdays and Saturdays is AMAZING! If you are in the music industry, FIND THIS WOMAN!!! Hire her!!!! There’s nothing she can’t sing - 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, today, Caribbean/reggae, R&B, yacht rock, country, ANYTHING! Head right, there are like 2-3 outdoor bars. Super low key. Again, this is the end of the “strip”. If you want a night cap or want a drink and just chill, head there. You may even get a contact 😉 To the 420 lovers. Head left, in the direction of Bridgetown, there are a TON of restaurants and bars ranging from high end/nice to party vibes. There are 2 markets - a mini mart and a small yet fully stocked market. Again, no need for a car or taxi in this area. Great hotel! Enjoy the stay. Cheers 🏝️

This hotel is located on St. Lawrence gap and has direct access to the beach. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. I enjoyed my stay and the management surprised me with complimentary bottle Prosecco on my birthday. That truly made my day. I captured beautiful sunrise and sunset views while taking morning walks and lounging on a beach.
