This should have been an 5* review as overall, we loved our stay at Dusit D2 in Jabal Akhdar however there were a few issues with our stay (the staff are aware of) that need to be pointed out. The hotel is beautifully done and in a stunning setting. The facilities are excellent, particularly the adventure park and gym - the pool also looked great but it was too cold for us to swim even though it is meant to be heated. We did feel that the spa team were not very friendly and didn’t seem fair that we were asked to pay an additional fee to use the jacuzzi/sauna etc (we decided not to.) There is also a huge issue with the lack of hot water- we did tell reception and they said they were aware and had told the owners for many months but nothing has been sorted. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly too. There were a couple of issues at the start of our stay but the team worked so hard to rectify them as best as possible. Special thanks to the below people: Adil (reception) - did everything he could to make our stay as comfortable as possible Mahir (reception) - we were dissatisfied with one of the experiences we had been upsold, he rectified it immediately and with no fuss Mazin (concierge) - he took us to and from the three villages hike, but didn’t just drop and pick us, he explained the history and was really helpful. Arshid (waiter) - arshid looked after us at breakfast and dinner every day and was so helpful and friendly Roshan & Vivek (restaurant managers) - on learning that I was vegetarian they got their chefs to make some specific meals just for my wife and I at short notice. The meals were incredible! Jitu (chef) - jitu was the chef that made these amazing meals for us. The paneer butter masala and palak paneers were incredible! Roshni (waitress) - looked after us at breakfast everyday Just be aware that everything seems to be an additional cost and there is quite a lot of upselling but otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We recently stayed here for a mini getaway and had booked two rooms for four adults. Overall, it’s a beautiful property with grand Omani architecture, a warm welcome experience (drinks & towels), and spacious rooms with high ceilings that feel both cozy and luxurious. That said, a few areas need improvement. Check-in took longer than expected despite prepayment. The resort is large (200+ rooms) but has limited golf carts, which led to long wait times — challenging when traveling with elderly guests. Room cleanliness was mostly good, though couch stains and linen quality need better inspection. Our room lacked views, and there was noticeable daytime construction noise facing the balcony. Spa bookings were unavailable due to limited staff, and evening entertainment options were minimal for a premium property (though there was live Omani music tucked away in one area). Breakfast had a wide spread, but vegetarian options were limited. Fresh baked goods and the live Arabic crepe station were highlights. Room service and add-ons (like flower arrangements) are priced at a premium, which would feel more justified once service and operational details are further refined. Overall: A culturally rich, visually stunning mountain resort with great potential — elevated further with improvements in service speed, logistics, and guest programming.

This is a great hotel. I was a bit of a trek to get there as its up lots of steep winding roads. The rooms are amazing. Loads of space and decorated to a high standard. There is lots to do there: Loads of activities/trips you can join in on if you wish, or just use gym/spa/padel courts/climbing/games and more. The food was delicious and had something for everyone. So all members of my family were happy. Ad the staff were all really lovely and welcoming and consistently gave great service. I had a massage with Suuny in the spa. I went for hot oil thai massage and she was exceptional. One of the best massages I've ever had. So overall we have been extremely happy with our stay. ♥️

We had a wonderful 2-day stay at dusitD2 Naseem Resort, and the experience was made truly special by the amazing staff. A special mention to Ms. Roshni from the F&B team — her hospitality and service were outstanding. She was having warm smile, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed both the days during our Breakfast. Chef Rajan deserves a big thank you for the excellent food. He took great care of our Jain dietary restrictions and prepared delicious meals with so much thought and effort. His efforts, care, and the love he put into the food were clearly felt in every bite. It meant so much to us. Also, Firoj & Gaurav from room service were very genuine, polite, and helpful. We were on our anniversary celebration and did early checkin. They made special decoration for us and as we did not check-in same room due to early check-in but they showed us with excitement how they did. Their service added to the overall comfort of our stay. This resort is blessed with such beautiful souls, and because of them, our stay became unforgettable❤️.

Al Mutasm and Saleh at the adventure park were outstanding — they made the experience genuinely fun and memorable. Their professionalism and energy really stood out. The hotel manager was also amazing. We had a slight issue with our stay, and he immediately upgraded us and resolved everything without hesitation. That level of care made a huge difference and showed true commitment to guest satisfaction. The food was excellent throughout our stay. I’d especially like to recognise Raylyn, Mylin, and Lovedeep in the restaurant. They were exceptional — extremely attentive, passionate about their work, and made everyone feel genuinely welcome. As a business owner myself, I recognise how valuable team members like this are. These individuals are a real credit to the hotel and absolutely deserve recognition.
