We’ve had a beautiful 5 day stay at Filitheyo. What a paradise island and resort. The beach and snorkeling are fantastic. Everything resort wise was perfect - from the arrival by seaplane, to the delightful beachfront rooms, to the excellent food and drink options. But it has been the service and people that has been next level. Our room guy Allal cleaned our room twice a day. Reception lovely people Kusum and Zuhoor were endlessly helpful. The guys serving in the Sunset Bar are tops! Such great guys who give such quick efficient, warm and fun service daily. Big thanks to Faruk, Dino, Virage, Raj, Nur, Jerome and Rubil. Thanks to the chefs and anyone else we’ve forgotten! 🙏🏼💕🤗

This was our first time coming to the Maldives. What an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptionally well organized with a person waiting at the airport for us who helped us check-in to the seaplane. Once arrived at the resort we were met with our host Faysel who was friendly and very informative. He then walked us to our water bungalows and made sure that everything was good for us. The rooms were clean and had a rustic look with outdoor sitting area with a swing which was our daughter’s favorite spot to sit outside. The main dining restaurant was buffet style with wide variety of freshly made different types of foods. The experience was fantastic—delicious, fresh food, great presentation, in a beautiful atmosphere with warm, attentive service. Our server, Jamel, was the same for our entire trip which was nice as he knew exactly what we needed and had everything ready for us. They also have another restaurant which was near the pool which had nice food options and drinks. Our server Raj was highly attentive and made sure our seating and pool chairs were good. Each staff member treated you with so much respect and attention which was lovely. The kids wanted to do a beach day so we requested Faysel if could accommodate some beach chairs for us which he did multiple times which made it easy to lounge on the beach as well. We also loved our water bungalow where we had direct access to the water. We would lounge here and see so many sea life. It was the perfect way to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The snorkeling was phenomenal with easy access from the beach or water bungalow. We saw so many fishes, turtles and even sharks. We also did a few excursions which the kids enjoyed especially the nighttime fishing. What really stood out was how smoothly everything flowed—from dining and hospitality to the snorkeling excursion and time on the water. The combination of great food, beautiful scenery, excellent service, and an unforgettable snorkeling adventure made the entire experience special. A wonderful choice for couples, families, or anyone looking to combine relaxation, good food, and adventure. We left with great memories and would absolutely do it again. The only reason for 4 on the rooms as felt the bathrooms could use a little updating.

Location The island is stunning: lush, spacious enough to avoid feeling crowded, and genuinely beautiful. The reef is exceptional, with an impressive variety of marine life. The drop-off at the reef edge is particularly striking and makes snorkeling here a real highlight. Resort & service Transfers from and to the airport were very well organized. The hydravion experience, while not always punctual, offers a remarkable aerial view that is worth the trip in itself. Service, however, is inconsistent and falls short of what would be expected from a resort of this positioning. Staff generally complete their duties, but attentiveness and hospitality vary significantly, and at times the experience feels more transactional than welcoming. Even simple requests, such as a second drink, can require unnecessary effort. The buffet is abundant in quantity, but the variety becomes repetitive over a longer stay. During peak hours, queues at several stations are long and poorly managed, which affects the overall dining experience. The Main Bar team stands out as a clear exception, consistently more engaged and noticeably more welcoming than elsewhere in the resort. The physical condition of the resort is a real concern in several areas. Many facilities show clear and visible wear that goes well beyond “character”: worn-out sun loungers, damaged cushions, deteriorating wooden walkways, and exposed screws in multiple places. These are not minor cosmetic issues but signs of insufficient maintenance. In addition, visible litter in and around the water at times detracts from the otherwise beautiful natural environment. Overall The natural environment and reef are truly exceptional and easily the highlight of the stay. However, the resort experience is inconsistent and does not reflect the standards advertised. The location is worth visiting for the reef alone, but the hospitality and maintenance level do not match the positioning of a premium resort.

Fantastic two week holiday at Filitheyo Island Resort. Visited July 2026 and stayed in one of the beautiful over water villas. The island is very authentic Maldivian and the atmosphere was fantastic. Food at the restaurant was absolutely fantastic, especially the desserts! All Inclusive drinks were good, if a little short on choice. The reef at the island is the best we have been to. Saw Rays, Turtles, Sharks, Dolphins & Octopus, in addition to the amazing colourful fish to see. Evenings were quiet at the resort, two bars to choose from and no entertainment ( which was a plus in our opinion). If there was one negative I would say about this resort is that there is no adults area and the only pool can be busy with kids! But if you’re ok with that, then this place is perfect. Special mention to the amazing staff who are all really friendly and genuinely want to make your holiday great. Special mention to Faruk in the Sunset Bar, he works especially hard and deserves so much credit for keeping the pool guests happy. He is genuinely a lovely man. Would definitely recommend and would return to Filitheyo tomorrow. Lovely place.

Our second stay at Filitheyo was even more magical than the first. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed back. As returning guests, we received such a warm reception with a beautifully decorated table, refreshing fresh coconut water, and a relaxing shoulder massage after our long journey. The resort also fulfilled our bungalow request perfectly. We were given a beautiful bungalow with an amazing ocean view. Our bed was beautifully decorated for our arrival, and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a fruit basket. As an extra surprise, we were also treated to a complimentary romantic beach dinner, which was unforgettable. The house reef is simply spectacular. We snorkeled with sea turtles, reef sharks, an octopus, and even saw mobula rays several times. The underwater world around Filitheyo is absolutely breathtaking and one of the main reasons we love coming back. The cocktails were outstanding, and both bars on the island offered a fantastic atmosphere and excellent service. A very special thank you goes to our room boy Majdal, who was absolutely exceptional. He kept our bungalow spotless every day, was always smiling, kind, and incredibly attentive. He truly made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything about this holiday was perfect. Filitheyo has once again exceeded all our expectations and created unforgettable memories for us. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to the entire Filitheyo team for making us feel so special. See you again!
