They have a outdated reservation system. I reserved it using my credit card and then talked with senior manager. I was assured that my reservation is complete and I don't have to worry about anything. 3 days before arrival, during my Sri Lanka visit, I got a email, stating that I need to pay for my reservation. I said, I paid with my credit card months ago. Via WhatsApp I contacted the senior manager, I was dealing with and she told me the same thing. I said I can't pay because I am in a public place and it is not safe to provide credit card details. Repeatedly, I mentioned that you have my credit card so you can charge the full amount because I already authorized that. Also they tell you lot of things are included but when you actually try to get it it is different. Like, I took a all inclusive package, which included alcohol and they had a list of alcohol included but when I asked about my favorite drink, that was not included but ingredients are. Our cabin was dusty, full of insects roaming around. Air-conditioning is very old and doesn't work properly. They had a ceiling fan in the cabin but the fan doesn't work properly. When we asked whether they can fix the fan, I was told that ceiling fan is for decorative purpose only.

We have just come back from a week stay in a watervilla. Our house keeper and waiter were amazing the rest of the staff not bothered. So the island itself is getting very dated. You have to pay for all activities. Our Waterville was lively however the steps entering to the ocean the last step was very a big drop down also there was no hand rail down to the end of the steps. Only went down to a few of the steps. Lots of handrails and walkways need replacing. The marine was great we were lucky and had alot of fish under our villa all the time. The food was mediocre. Being in a watervilla we didn't hear the praying till we walked into the island. The ocean itself around the watervillas there is alot of broken coral and weed but there are some pure clear channels you still get to see alot of fish. We saw a variety of sealife including rays,sharks,turtles

Chefs, waiters, cleaners, and room service attendants were all courteous and attentive. Rimon, our dedicated meal host, stood out for his professionalism and warmth. In the buffet area, Jewel greeted everyone with infectious cheer. The entire team is exceptionally trained, ensuring every guest feels prioritised. Upon check-in, we completed a quick personal details form, enjoyed a refreshing welcome drink, and were escorted to our Beach Villa for the first two nights. **Beach Villa** This wooden retreat was generously sized, offering direct sea views and beach access. The interior design of both room and bathroom was stunning, complete with a private lawn featuring chairs, a table, and a swing. **Dining** Buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner delivered exceptional variety in appetizers, mains, salads, and desserts. Non-veg lovers will delight in options like chicken, duck, lamb, prawns, octopus, and fish (tuna, salmon, and more). The desserts were a highlight—utterly irresistible. **Bar & Drinks** The Villu Bar, near the island's entrance, offered delightful mocktails (we skipped alcohol). Favorites included the "Palm Tree Punch"—pure bliss. Drinks were à la carte; all-inclusive packages suit those who indulge in spirits, bundling them with meals. **Water Villa** Over 40 of these stilted gems line two rows, each with a deck boasting ocean vistas, loungers, a table, swing, and private stairs into the sea. Interiors are elegantly appointed and impeccably maintained. **Activities** The dedicated water-sports and diving centers offer diverse excursions. Book slots a day ahead for availability and pricing. **Transfers** Seaplane from the airport takes 30-40 minutes with breathtaking aerial views; speedboat is 2.5 hours. Upgrades from speedboat are possible if requested 3-4 days prior. (Note: in case, your departure from resort to International airport, is via speedboat, there is a high chance the speedboat timing will be 6:15am early morning) The island's layout maximizes appeal: its long north-south axis places Beach and Semi-Beach Villas along east/west shores, while Water Villas cluster in two rows at the southwest tip. Request preferred spots—they accommodate if available. Our east-facing Beach Villa caught glorious sunrises; the west-facing Water Villa (overlooking Villu Bar) framed stunning sunsets, seaplane arrivals, and endless ocean horizons. Room is spacious,neat n clean, concept of washroom is amazing. King size bed. Lot of chairs n sofa arranged in lobby. Beach villa n water villa. Every room have beach view.

This is my kid’s first international trip and while I was a little nervous in the beginning, the moment we checked in, I knew we had made a great decision. Even though the resort is about 2 hours and 15 minutes away from the airport, the journey was comfortable and smooth. The resort staff coordinated everything—from the airport pick-up to the transfers—making the entire experience hassle-free. The resort itself is amazing. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. A special shoutout to Ajay at Villubar and Jagan at the resort for taking care of all our needs and making our stay truly memorable. It’s a beautiful place and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-managed family getaway.
