Nigel and Troy are the most amazing people I have ever met. They are the reason we keep coming back. This is are 3rd time coming in 5 years. We are going to book for next year. We feel like we found an extended family over here. If you want a feeling of home and paradise come to hammock Cove! Randolph is the Master Chef on this beautiful Island. His quality and presentation is extraordinary. Our Ambassador was Vandrose. He would bring us anything we needed when we called with a smile and friendliness. Desa makes sure everyone is happy and wanting to make sure you are happy with your stay here. I have to say the taff here is fantastic and gives you such warm welcome it keeps us coming back to see this paradise and our Antigua family!

Gorgeous quiet hotel with great sea view villas. Was nice to have own space in the villa and have a balcony to sit and relax and dip in own pool. Steakhouse was fantastic food. Lighthouse 7 course meal and wine pairing was good. Great choice for breakfast. Pool area and beach was beautiful and everywhere was very clean. Some things to improve is the room service meals were disappointing, snacks need to be provided in rooms and at the bars, more treadmills in gym as it gets very busy in the mornings, more lighting around the pathways at nighttime. Little shout out to these people who work at Hammock Cove and helped us during our stay : Collet who was our waitress at Irena's. Most smiley and friendly person. Lady at the shop who was super friendly and helpful. Tracy on reception who booked our taxis and excursions. Andre, Erick, Nigel, She Maque, Akeila who were great Bar tenders. Feb our waiter at the lighthouse and steak house Julio , Nazim, Joshua, Dorman. Beach and Pool guys. Tasscia our waitress at Breakfast Gabriel rum barman who made great cocktails and coffees in the morning. Spa staff who were great for our treatments.

We recently stayed at Hammock Cove Antigua and had the most wonderful experience. From start to finish, the service was absolutely first class. The new General Manager, Lucinda, is outstanding warm, present, and clearly leading a brilliant team. You really feel the care and dedication throughout the resort. We particularly loved our ambassador, Matara, who was fantastic, and Julio on the beach was superb. In truth, every member of staff we encountered was a credit to the hotel sadly we can’t remember everyone’s name, but they were all wonderful. As very well travelled Europeans who frequently stay at high-end resorts, we don’t say this lightly Hammock Cove is exceptional, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. A truly special place.

My husband and I stayed at Hammock Cove for six nights in March 2026 and spent about $11,300 for the stay alone (not including flights or airport transportation), so I want to frame this review with that context. We had a nice trip overall, but the experience didn’t really match the five-star price point. The villas are beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The beds were great, the AC worked extremely well, and surprisingly we didn’t see a single mosquito the entire stay. The views are gorgeous and the included water activities were a lot of fun. Most of the staff were also very kind and welcoming. Where things fell short was mostly the service details and the dining, which were two reasons we were so excited to stay at HC in the first place unfortunately. The resort advertises Michelin-level dining, but the food was candidly pretty average - outside of the all inclusive, we didn't have one meal we would actually pay for to eat again if we had a chance to in the real world - and the options were limited (although the Lighthouse menu changed every day, but not as much variation as we thought there’d be). There are only two main restaurants for dinner (and a third in the lobby) and the same lobby restaurant is the only lunch option (and the only breakfast option), so by the end of the trip we had pretty much memorized the menus. One evening we even tried to switch dinner reservations and were told they couldn’t accommodate us, yet there were several open tables when we walked by, which wasn’t a big deal, but disappointing given where our expectations were on the service / other reviews we read. We also paid extra for a “waterfront villa,” but ours sat directly above the resort beach with almost no privacy - people on the beach could easily see straight into the room (pic attached). Some “waterfront villas” appear to sit directly over the water while others overlook the beach, but they’re all sold under the same category, which wasn’t very clear when booking. A good portion of the waterview villas (the slightly less expensive option) don’t have a view of the water, either, so just keep that in mind! A few other things fell short: watered-down drinks at the beach bar, inconsistent ambassador service, a small beach with limited chairs, and showers that ran out of hot water after about 10 minutes. It’s a beautiful property, but at this price point it felt underwhelming.

Hammock Cove Antigua exceeded every expectation—so much so that this was my second time coming back, and somehow it was even better than the first. We stayed in Villa #10, and it was absolutely perfect—private, beautifully designed, and the ideal place to relax and take in the stunning views. Waking up there each day felt like a dream. From the moment we arrived, everything felt seamless, personalized, and genuinely welcoming. The team here doesn’t just provide great service—they create an experience that makes you want to return again and again. A huge shoutout to the incredible breakfast team at Irina’s—Linda, Kayla, Casildo, Brittania, and Charlene. Every morning started off perfectly thanks to their warmth, attentiveness, and consistency. The beach team—Tevin, Osayba, Julio, Mark, Nazim, and Dorland—were amazing. They made every beach day effortless and fun, always anticipating what we needed before we even asked. Our ambassadors, J and Sheldon, were truly outstanding. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect, making it easy to relax and fully enjoy ourselves. The massage with Joy was unforgettable—pure relaxation and one of the highlights of the trip. Joseph, the groundskeeper, deserves recognition for keeping the property absolutely stunning. You can tell how much pride goes into maintaining such a beautiful space. Gabriel at the Rum Bar brought such great energy, and bartenders Jahrio and Dante kept the drinks flowing with creativity and personality. Dinner service with Troy was another standout—attentive, engaging, and elevated every evening meal. Coming back for a second visit just confirmed what I already knew—Hammock Cove is something truly special. It’s not just the luxury or the beautiful setting—it’s the people who make it unforgettable. Already dreaming about visit number three!
