The beach was beautiful and the resort was nice with very good butlers. The housekeeping was marginable and very inconsistent. One day they would come at 09:00 for room service and the next day they would come at 02:30pm, which was very inconvenient. One night, housekeeping did not come to the room until 08:50 PM for turn down. It was disappointing, the service that we received for the cost of the vacation. We could have stayed at a five-star resort, with five-star meals for two weeks for the cost of this resort. Most disappointing was the quality of the meals. Not one of the meals was as good as I expected for the cost. Most of the meals were on or below the quality level of a major, low-cost chain. I have never been at a resort where the food quality was so bad. The value based on the food and housekeeping were pitiful and I would never return to this resort and doubt that I would try another Sandals Resort. Of all the years and multiple vacations, resorts and cruises, this was the worst. My first visit to Sandals will be my last. What a waste of time and money!

Let's start from our check in...we arrived and we're greeted very nicely. An employee (can't remember his name) showed us to our room and gave us a tour. He sang me happy birthday and I wish I would have recorded it, was very lovely. I'm going to give the staff a 6.5 out of 10. Most were very lovely and kind. There were a few waitresses in the Bayside and the restaurant on the beach who were just plain rude! Their customer service was lacking, like we were bothering them to do their job. The first few days there was no one on the beach or the main pool to take orders. Found that odd and that you had to go yourself to get drinks. My mom booked us massages and honestly that was the best part of the trip. I'm a foodie and the food was a 5/10 I was expecting much more and looking at the menu before we booked was a big part of why I wanted to come. It lacked flavor. Met great guests who also felt the same as us. We will not be back to this location

We are currently staying at this Sandals resort, and I want to start by saying that the resort itself is beautiful and the service from the regular staff has been amazing. The entertainment team has also been great, especially Michael. He has been awesome and has really helped make our stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about our experience with the Loyalty booking team at this resort. We feel that we were misled and, quite frankly, lied to about what we were being offered and what we were booking. We have booked through Loyalty at every Sandals resort we have visited and have always felt comfortable doing so. Because of those previous experiences, we trusted what we were being told here. After this experience, I do not trust the Loyalty team at this particular resort at all. I want to make that distinction very clear because this is not a complaint about Sandals as a whole or about the people taking care of us during our stay. The normal resort staff and entertainment staff have been wonderful. Our issue is specifically with the way the Loyalty booking process was handled and the information we were given. It is disappointing because we have been loyal Sandals guests and have continued booking future trips while at the resorts. We expect honesty and transparency when making those decisions, especially when we are booking based on what a Loyalty representative tells us. The resort has been beautiful and our stay has otherwise been great, but our experience with the Loyalty team here has seriously damaged our trust in booking through them again.

We spent a wonderful six nights at Sandals Antigua. Highlights: —Our butlers, Sefra, Marvin, and Geoffrey, went above and beyond to make sure we had a special and relaxing vacation. They even decorated our room for my husband’s birthday! We’ve had butler rooms at several Sandals and this was an exceptional team. —The beach in Dickerson Bay had beautiful, calm water. The beach itself is long and great for walking, and the water was perfect for activities like the hobie cats. —Teddy at Kimono’s was a spectacular chef, and Mickory made great eggs and omelettes at breakfast —Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the water, probably the best view we’ve had at any Sandals —The antipasto buffet at Mario’s was absolutely delicious Possible improvements: —If you’re used to the more modern Sandals resorts, the furniture and decor at this one is more dated. We didn’t mind it but it’s something to keep in mind. I think renovations are planned. —While the food generally was as good as or better than other Sandals, we didn’t think the desserts were very good. —I wish there were non-pork protein options at breakfast (like chicken sausage), and that there was more variety in the breakfast buffet, which basically was the same every day. —It would be helpful to have an ATM onsite to make tipping easier

We just went for our 20th anniversary and it was everything we could have wanted and more. We opted for Butler service (but didn't do some things that others have done in YouTube videos--they definitely get taken advantage of I think), and our three ladies definitely helped make our vacation so much better. It was our first trip there, so they were a huge help just guiding us on what/how to do things. The sunsets were phenomenal, the food was amazing, the pools with swim up bars were so cool--and they didn't make the drinks so strong that you'd be sick after drinking all day. We stayed 7 full days, and honestly even though we did everything we wanted to we could have stayed longer easily. You need a good sunscreen, being that far South/close to the equator. We used SunBum 50 spf, NOT the spray but the lotion, or you will be sunburned. Reapply as recommended. We saw a LOT of beet red people in the pool who probably wished they had. The main lobby has two beautiful Scarlet Macaws, Samson and Delilah, and they get to have time outside of their cage during the day so if you're lucky you might get to hold Delilah in your arm for a couple of minutes! One thing that the travel agent YouTube videos won't tell you is that on the beach you will be approached by locals selling they make or otherwise sell and they can be very aggressive if you're not firm with saying "No" if you don't want anything. The vendors that rent water activities will also approach you but are not as aggressive. Overall I highly recommend, and we already reserved our next trip. We were not disappointed!! Enjoy a few of the pics from the beach, a couple of the restaurants, and Samson & Delilah.
