Paradox offered a great location to explore Singapore. Yes the hotel is a bit dated but totally fine for us. Room was nice and we also had a balcony overlooking the river - but it was too hot to use! We appreciated the little treat for our anniversary. Enjoyed the daily cocktail as part of our package - you could literally choose any drink. Incredible buffet breakfast - up there with the best we have ever had - fresh, daily changes and so much choice. Would recommend this hotel

I had the dinner buffet at Ellenborough market cafe. It is definitely one of the good spreads available in this range of hotels. Seafood was top class, so were the other non veg sections with a good mix of Asian and western cuisine which is important to appeal all kinds of crowd. Service was good too. I would definitely recommend it to people who can eat well and do justice to such extensive buffets!

The Paradox Singapore Merchant Court at Clarke Quay is a well-located option. While it might not completely blow you away in every category, its excellent location and stellar morning buffet breakfast make it highly recommendable. The accommodations are okay. They are clean, comfortable, and functional, but there’s nothing particularly luxurious or unique about them. It serves as a perfectly fine base camp for your trip. They did, however, go the extra mile to decorate our room with towel animals for our anniversary. The Breakfast Buffet at the hotel restaurant has a truly outstanding buffet that was a major highlight of the stay. The spread rotates slightly every day, keeping what they have fresh with a variety of both Western and Asian choices. There is plenty of seating available so you never feel cramped, and there are honestly too many delicious items to eat in one sitting. Check out the photos and videos online to appreciate the scale of it. The location is exceptionally good, with many sights and attractions within easy walking distance. It sits right next to the scenic Singapore River and the bustling nightlife and dining hub of Clarke Quay. Additionally, it's just a 10 to 15-minute walk over to Chinatown, giving you immediate access to endless shops, historical markets, and fantastic local restaurants. Pro Tips: River Cruise Convenience: Because you are right next to the river, skip the long treks for sightseeing transport and head immediately outside to the nearby Clarke Quay jetty to hop on an iconic electric bumboats river cruise.

Fantastic, except the elevators. I upgraded the room but not to the top level. It was spacious, clean, and had a great view. Every single person I interacted with was helpful and pleasant. The only downside was the elevators. One of four, and for a day two of four, were out of service. The functioning elevators appeared to be on two different systems so you had to press two buttons or watch the elevators pass you by. This double pressing resulted in elevators stopping at floors which had no one waiting. It might seem rough to downgrade a rating for elevators, but two guests I ran into said the last time they came the elevators were messed up and I also see it in previous reviews. Otherwise great, but kind of wished I didn't upgrade to the tenth floor so I could take the stairs. Also, get to breakfast early, it's a good breakfast but it gets very busy.

I really enjoyed my stay at Paradox Singapore. From the front desk to housekeeping, everything felt well taken care of, and the people I met were consistently kind and helpful. The room was spacious and spotless, and the whole place had a pleasant smell that made the stay feel even more comfortable. I would happily stay here again.
