The Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort is an all-inclusive resort. The programme generally consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served throughout the day (except during meal times).

We spent two unforgettable weeks at the Royal Zanzibar, and what truly made our stay remarkable was the incredible staff. Everyone we met greeted us with genuine smiles, always asking how we were doing and remembering our names, something that made us feel truly valued and at home. Among all the wonderful people we met, one person stood out the most: Nitin. He works mainly at the bar and is an absolute master at creating amazing drinks. We often asked him to surprise us, and he never disappointed, every cocktail was exceptional. But what truly set him apart was his kindness and care. Nitin went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. He even reached out to us via WhatsApp just to check in, asking how we were doing and if there was anything he could do to make our stay even better. Thanks to him, we often got the best seats for dinner with a perfect view of the evening entertainment. It’s rare to meet someone who makes such a genuine difference during a holiday, but Nitin did exactly that. Because of him, and the rest of the wonderful staff, we can’t wait to return to Royal Zanzibar. Highly recommended for anyone looking for not just a beautiful resort, but also unforgettable hospitality

I’ve just arrived home and dearly miss this place! Me and my husband spent 12 nights here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The food changing every night is amazing, full of flavours and never got bored! The bedrooms were spotless and the evening mosquito spraying service is so smart too! Furthermore, the beach is absolutely stunning… I have never seen water so clear, so beautiful! We did the romantic beach dinner, which was stunning. The lobster and steak, was 10/10! This topped off our honeymoon nicely. Also, want to give a shout out to Josephine and Grace! They were both so lovely, catering and came with the bubbly happy vibes everyone needs and loves. They made sure I always had a drink and would check in to make sure I am well. Thank you girls!

My wife and I stayed at the Royal Zanzibar for 13 nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, what can I say but WOW!!. We were due to stay for 15 nights but for reasons beyond our control this was reduced to 13 nights, but the Management more than made up for this minor inconvenience. Initial thoughts upon arrival were spectacular, the open air reception area where we were greeted by Merry, the immaculate grounds and the beach is something you only dream of. We were upgraded to a Superior Deluxe room with twin balconies and to say that the rooms are huge is a bit of an understatement. The rooms were cleaned every day and a turn down service every night. All of the staff are unbelievably friendly and so hard working. The food was amazing in the Spices restaurant, made special by Cynthis and Scolatica, and The Cliff Restaurant took it up to another level with an amazing night time setting. The bar staff at the Mapenzi bar were great, Nitin, who makes a great whiskey sour, Meshack, Gloria and Grace. Christina down at the Baraza Bar down on the beach serving us drinks and giving us our daily Swahili lessons. Also a big thank you to the Management for there assistance in making our stay a memory for life, Jean, Preshak and Kushal, all unbelievably professional and courteous throughout. Would we go again? In a heartbeat, we loved every minute of it.

It was extremely good. The staff are kind and helpful, especially Masinde at the bar area. He made the drinks to our liking. Rooms were awesome, clean and well mentained . Meals top notch cuts across all cultures. Will definitely come back now with friends

Stayed here for our honeymoon. The resort is beautiful, and very well kept. Staff are absolutely excellent, service was also always excellent. Food was a real highlight, the buffet changes daily and is always themed. Plenty of options including a lot of vegetarian options as well as a delicious selection of meat and fish.
