Stayed here with family for 4 days 3 nights, booked two rooms 326 and 328- connective room. Good thing is pool is nice and kids enjoyed. Breakfast was acceptable, not much new food on daily basis. Same menu everyday. However, the room is not clean, carpet is dirty, towels got stain and the drawers are super dusty. Even the bathroom racks are not wiped. Corridor - super dusty, we see same trash and at same place along the corridor everyday. 326 room latch is broken , unable to open it since we checked in. Thank God, we were in connective room, hence we didn't make fuss on it. I understand it's old building, keeping it clean is more essential. Definitely will NOT come back. This place not worth amount of the money I paid. Thank you for the horrible experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Golden Sands in Batu Feringgi. The pool area is fantastic—perfect for relaxing or spending time with family. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. In the evening, there are plenty of great opportunities to eat outside the hotel, with many restaurants and hawker stalls within walking distance. I highly recommend the BBQ buffet, which offers a great range of tasty food and fresh options—definitely worth trying! Just a small note for light sleepers: some rooms on the mosque-facing side are very close to a nearby mosque, and the call to prayer begins early in the morning. It is part of the local culture and atmosphere, but if you prefer quieter mornings, you may wish to request a room on the opposite side. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and we would happily return.

If you have kids, this is where it’s at! There are so many activities : 1) Adventure Zone is like a large soft play area with extremely steep slides and some free video games, open 10-13.00; 2) Kids Club is upstairs in the same building and has a world-class array of activities including a snake show, golf, kite flying, arts, crafts, cooking class, an insider’s hotel tour (etc); 3) entertainment at breakfast even with balloon making and magic!; 4) mini waterpark with 2 slides and a splash area; 5) 3 large pools; 6) the beach and water sports including jet skiing, paragliding, banana boats, etc. For adults, there is a spa at the Shangri-La next door. The breakfast was very international and delicious! The rooms could use a refurb, but the Executive Suite had plenty of space and really nice views! Overall, in off season, we felt this hotel was EXCELLENT value! We particularly appreciated Elvin at checkin, and all the amazing sweet girls at the Kids Club. We will be back! Note: there was a sign which said the beach had jellyfish, so we stayed out of the ocean for swimming.

Nuura I (Nuurra)

Weekend rush has it downsides but it is totally understandable. I still found the value and it all proven during my stay during non rush. The cafe, pool, basking area is totally relaxing and safe. The service is improved, i can see big smile on staff faces. Breakfast comes with good spread. Room is clean. The beach is however eroded by multiple storm through recent years. We can still stroll from golden sand to rasa sayang and enjoy the nature

Have a great experience while staying here. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. This is my 2nd time here. I choose family room for my small family and it's worth every money. The room for kids has 3 bed including the tent. The room is connected with our room. We received complimentary snacks on our 1st and 2nd day. The breakfast has variety of food/menu and great view (facing beach). I'm definitely will choose this hotel if I ever when to Penang again. Thank you golden sands resort ❤️❤️❤️ ❤️ ❤️
