I strongly discourage anyone from staying here. The customer service is terrible and the hotel will not refund your incidental. The booking was paid before we got there. After arriving, we were told there was a mandatory $52 daily resort fee and a mandatory $555 hold for incidentals. We were strong armed into paying this. We had no issues checking out, we did not damage anything and cleaned the room before leaving, as always. After about 7 business days, I began calling the hotel because th $555 fee was not returned. After over 1 week of calling, I finally got through to someone who was able to look into my reservation and tell me that nothing was wrong and that because our stay overlapped with the holidays, I likely hadn’t received it yet. She did say that on her end, she can see the refund was issued, and if it doesn’t arrive within the next 1-2 business days, I should contact my bank. After a few more days, I emailed the hotel. I received a response a few days later, and the hotel stated that we were charged for a smoking fee. We don’t smoke at all. It seems like this recently happened to other guests, so BEWARE.

Amazing boutique, Luxe hotel, very peaceful super chic lots of very cool art in the lobby. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms & property was very clean! I’m kinda ocd so require very clean locations when travel along with visually stimulating environments. I had a super delicious blacked mahi-mahi sandwich with the best fries I’ve had in a while! The room was modern with new amenities, especially the wireless charger bedside. I found this location to be perfect for me being close to Pinetree with easy access to the freeways. In addition there is a Walgreens located next-door and Avis rent a car adjacent to the building. I appreciate it the hospitality in which the staff provided such as being able to call down and get a late check out with a very friendly and accommodating desk clerk. I look forward to coming back to this property. It was quite peaceful. I slept well and overall wish I had more time to stay and enjoy the pool and do beach activities but my time there was very relaxing during an actual hectic business trip Thank You Gates! I would def recommend if you like a peaceful vibes

This hotel has incredible staff! From the very first phone call, everyone I spoke with was exceptionally kind and willing to help. I called them last minute to see if I could book a room so my family had a place to hang out after a cruise but before our flight that evening. I spoke to Micheal “the manager” he was so kind and willing to work with me. I can’t say enough positive about the team working here. They operate this hotel as if it was a 5 star resort. Thanks for helping my family and allowing us to have a relaxing end to our vacation!

Clean Quiet room in a nice area. It was reasonably priced and accessible to the South Beach free trolley so getting to different areas around South Beach without paying additionally for parking was a positive. On Site dining or a bar would have been a plus. The staff was polite an helpful with suggestions. The biggest drawback was paying $50 to park & having to wait 30 minutes to get my vehicle. Even at check in, there was nobody to give my keys to for roughly 20 minutes and I had to complain at the front desk. There were usually 3 or 4 parties waiting at a time for vehicles.

The staff on reception were very helpful and welcoming. I travelled here as part of a birthday trip for my partner. I informed the hotel of this beforehand and they had some ballons and a little display on the bed for us arriving. This was a nice touch. Our room was perfect with a balcony overlooking the pool area. We found the location to be good also.
