An amazing luxurious stay in the cool mountains - from the moment we stepped out of our vehicle, we were treated like honoured guests & all staff we encountered on this property were excellent. An obvious sense of pride working for this establishment permeated through & it showed in how staff interacted with guests & amongst themselves. We were upgraded to a fabulous pool villa & everything one could possibly ask for or want in a luxurious room was present. What was impressive was that any small or minor issues were immediately attended to & followed up on. This is the mark of a truly well oiled & run establishment. Wifi reception was excellent. The views were magnificent (sunset drinks at Diana’s Pt is truly a “wow” experience) & both our private pool & the main infinity pools were kept at the optimum temperature. Food at the Italian & International restaurant were top notch - authentic, fresh & delicious. Surprisingly they were at affordable price points & were served in generous portions. It sounds like I am gushing compliments but truly nothing negative to comment on. We managed to catch the tail end of the rose picking season & the resort is a short 10 to 15 min stroll away. I would definitely return & staying at Anantara was worth every cent!

A really beautiful spot in the mountains. The service was amazing - we were welcomed with a smile and attention to detail from the second we arrived to the moment we left! Bev works so hard by the pool making sure you have everything you need. She was such a joy to have conversation with. Anton at Bella Vista went out of his way to look after us, particularly during our dinner at ‘the royal edge’ which was STUNNING! Expensive but worth every penny. The team were flexible and let us completely change the menu, timings and set up to suit us. We even got serenaded by the wonderful singers twice. A truly special experience not to be missed! Chef Rajesh was also incredible - he poaches the perfect eggs and again cooked us many delicious meals during our stay. The only room for improvement would be the gym. A barbell / smith machine would be a welcomed extra! Its quite basic as is.

Beautiful location, but one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. I chose this resort expecting a peaceful and relaxing getaway with my family. Unfortunately, my experience turned into one of the most stressful and disappointing hotel stays I have ever had. During our stay, an incident occurred in one of the open areas designated for hotel guests. In my opinion, the situation was not handled with the level of professionalism, neutrality, or customer care that I would expect from a luxury five-star resort. What disappointed me the most was not the incident itself, but the way it was managed. I did not feel that guest safety, fairness, or conflict resolution were treated as priorities. A situation that could have been resolved quickly and professionally instead escalated unnecessarily, resulting in lengthy legal proceedings that caused significant stress and inconvenience for me and my family. I have video evidence documenting the incident, which has been relied upon as part of the legal process to present my account of what happened. For that reason, I will refrain from commenting on matters that remain subject to judicial proceedings. This review reflects only my personal experience and honest opinion as a guest. The resort itself is in a stunning location with beautiful surroundings. However, exceptional facilities alone cannot compensate for poor crisis management and the lack of effective guest support when problems arise. Based on my personal experience, I have unfortunately lost confidence in the hotel’s management and customer service. I would not choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly relaxing, professionally managed luxury hospitality experience. Nestled high on Oman's spectacular Green Mountain, Anantara Jabal Al Akhdar is an absolute paradise. The resort offers dramatic, jaw-dropping views of the vast canyons and rugged landscapes that stretch endlessly before you. From sunrise to sunset, the scenery is simply mesmerizing. The elegant villas and rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed, and designed to blend luxury with the natural surroundings, while the serene atmosphere and world-class facilities make it the ultimate mountain escape. What truly elevated our stay to an unforgettable experience was the exceptional, heartfelt service from the entire team. Special thanks go to: - Malik at the bar, whose warm personality, and attentive service made the happy hour great. - Pep, the F&B Manager, for his outstanding leadership and dedication to ensuring every dining moment was flawless. - Kamal at the Italian restaurant, who provided knowledgeable and passionate service that made our meals there truly memorable. - Mahmoud & Praveen at reception, for their warm, efficient, and always helpful welcome that set a perfect tone from arrival. - Hadi at the international restaurant and breakfast, whose cheerful energy and excellent service brightened every morning and evening. The food across all outlets was delicious, the facilities pristine, and the location simply magical!

My second stay at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, and I think the fact that I returned already says a lot. I truly enjoyed my first visit. On my previous stay, I experienced both the Deluxe Canyon View Room and the Garden Pool Room, which were fantastic in their own right. This time, however, I had the privilege of staying in the Cliffside Private Pool Villa, and it completely elevated the experience. Having your own private pool overlooking the canyon is something really special, especially in the Middle East, where you’ll find many luxury hotels, but very few that offer something this unique and memorable. The service was excellent overall, all the on site staff I came across were very friendly from the ones I saw in the restaurant to the ones in the garden. I’d especially like to thank Inja, I called a day before arrival to request early check-in, and he went above and beyond. Not only did he notice something about my booking and proactively suggest a way to improve my stay, but he also followed up in person during my first breakfast to check on me and ensure everything was sorted. That level of care and attention genuinely made a difference and enhanced my entire experience. Especially as I experienced some issues while planning my visit, a senior member of staff reached out to me directly after the issues and initially was very helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, after that initial support, he completely stopped responding and ignored my follow-up questions, which was disappointing especially after he offered stated that I should contact him anytime regarding any booking. I do feel it’s worth mentioning that I’ve experienced booking-related issues with Anantara in the past, including at this property and another Anantara hotel in Abu Dhabi. I’ve never encountered any of these type of problems with other hotel brands, so it is an area for improvement for Anantara. That said, none of this takes away from what is truly an incredible destination. The hotel is a real gem. It is unique, peaceful, and unforgettable. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for something different and special.
