Unfortunately, our stay at this resort did not meet the expectations set by its pricing. The property is clearly old and in need of major renovation. Doors do not open properly, bathroom and sink drains are malfunctioning, and one of them even caused flooding in the bathroom. Throughout the property there are visible signs of wear and tear, accompanied by a persistent musty, old smell. The floors are squeaky, further reinforcing the feeling of an outdated and poorly maintained resort. The pool area also raises safety concerns, with exposed lights and visible wiring, which does not feel safe—especially for a resort that presents itself as luxury. Dining options are extremely limited: there is only one restaurant, with a poor quality of the ingredients. The coffee quality is also poor, well below what one would expect at this price point. The resort itself is very small, with very little to do on-site, making the stay feel quite monotonous, particularly for longer visits. The only truly positive aspect was the staff, especially Laxman, who took excellent care of us and genuinely tried to make our stay pleasant. The butler service is helpful and well-intentioned, but cannot compensate for the overall shortcomings of the property. Overall, this resort is significantly overpriced for what it offers. Prices should be reconsidered and reduced by at least half to reflect the actual experience. There are many properties on Mahé Island at similar prices that are vastly superior in terms of quality, comfort, and value.

Beautiful hotel, really lovely staff. We spent a wonderful week here over New Year and it didn’t disappoint. Our room had a fantastic view and was very private. Our own pool, outdoor bath, and the room was spacious and clean. Pack spray for anti-mosquitoes! One area for improvement - while the staff were very accommodating and willing to help, the food service in the restaurant and to the room was very slow. Luckily, this didn’t impact us too much so we still had the most fantastic time!

Our stay at the Anantara Maia on Mahé, Seychelles was truly wonderful. Our personal host, Ari, was extremely polite, attentive, and very helpful. Our 5.5-year-old daughter wanted to go see the tortoises with Ari several times a day and explore the entire resort. That was never a problem — he accompanied her everywhere without ever being intrusive. He constantly came up with new ideas to keep our daughter engaged. On the last day, for example, he even organized a pizza-baking activity to match our afternoon snack. During this week, we felt completely relaxed. The beach right in front of our villa was absolutely stunning! The food at the restaurant was good, and the staff — especially Maia — really won our daughter’s heart. She was so kind to her, danced with her, and was very attentive to her wishes. Our daughter didn’t want to leave when it was time to go home, and we felt very relaxed throughout our stay. We always had someone to contact whenever we needed anything. If something broke, a team came immediately to fix it. All in all, the staff was very attentive, the gardens were beautiful, and the à la carte breakfast was delicious. The spa area (outdoors) and the massage, however, didn’t impress my husband. The massage took place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., which wasn’t ideal for an outdoor treatment — it was getting dark, and the mosquitoes were becoming active.

Just perfect. Everything, down to the minimal detail, is amazing. The villa we stayed in were beautiful, with elegant design, incredibly comfortable bed, and offered the most amazing view of the bay, with stunning sunset lights and lush vegetation all around. The service was perfect from the first moment, and Mary, our villa host, was absolutely sensational. The food was delicious as well, with great choice of local and international dishes. Absolutely amazing, thank you Anantara Maia!

It was an amazing stay! It is so wonderful place. With excellent service, amazing people and fantastic nature. The food is very delicious food. Please also try the Spa and relaxing massage - you will be impressed. I would like to mention our house man Laxman ! He is so professional and amazing person! We were in his good hands and do not worry about anything! Wanted to stay there more and will get back off course! Thank you very much for this an amazing stay with you Anantara Maia!
