AVRA Beach Resort Hotel & Bungalows

Alison Lean

We had a lovely holiday at the AVRA beach resort. The food is buffet style and the dinner changes theme daily. For an all inclusive resort with so many people, I was impressed at how good the food actually was. You get a voucher to have one meal at the waiter served restaurant too which is superb. That was our favourite evening of the holiday as the food was fantastic and the setting of the restaurant is very beautiful. The rooms are modern and comfortable and you are given beach towels to use around the pool and on the beach.

We recently completed a wonderful one-week stay at Avra Beach and had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The overall experience was delightful, and the hotel excels in several key areas. Key Highlights: Staff & Entertainment: The staff throughout the resort were consistently warm, approachable, and hard-working. A special mention must go to the animation team, whose energy and dedication made everyone feel genuinely welcome. Dining & Cuisine: The food quality was better than a lot of other all-inclusive resorts we have visited. The dinner experience was particularly delicious, offering great variety and well-prepared dishes. Location & Beach Facilities: The beachfront setting is unbeatable, offering breathtaking views. The beach setup was brilliant, featuring exceptionally comfortable, cushioned sun loungers that made relaxing by the water a pleasure. Room Comfort & Cleanliness: Our room was spotless, and the beds were super comfortable, ensuring an excellent night’s sleep throughout our stay. Although it should be noted our double was two singles pushed together. Areas for Improvement: Breakfast Coffee Service: While self-service coffee machines are available, table-served coffee was only offered to us twice during our seven-day stay. We found it more convenient to have a pot of coffee at the table as it saves you getting up if you want another coffee. In-Room Amenities: Although hot drinks are accessible in the main building until midnight, having a dedicated kettle and coffee/tea station inside the room would be a brilliant addition and big convenience. Bathroom Design: The toilet in our room was separated by a frosted glass panel door with a gap at the bottom. A fully enclosed, traditional door would offer much better privacy and odor control. Booking Availability: During the package booking process, only a single family room option was presented, even though additional room categories appeared online shortly after our reservation was finalised. Overall, Avra Beach is a fantastic resort with wonderful staff, good food, and incredible beachfront amenities.

Great hotel great food actually enjoyed the pebble beach bcos sand didn't get anywhere the pool was a great family atmosphere with music and kids was clean. They should improve the reception bcos it could be better and first impressions are important and the arrival area outside. The lifts are a bit small and our room had no divide between sleep area and bathroom so was a bit awkward going to toilet as it was a frosted glass door obviously with a light that illuminated your activities. These are all minor hinderences bcos overall it won us over loved the food variety and OMG the sunsets on the beach were spectacular. Local shops were good car hire was close and we were at northern tip of island so close to old town and butterfly valley and petting zoo all great and highly recommended as well.

First time we have stayed in this hotel. Fab location as only a short distance from the airport. Hotel has completely been refurbished. Rooms weren't quite finished as didn't have a safety deposit box, toilet roll holder or towel rail. However they were putting them in on the day we left. The hotel had the best food we have ever had & the choice was ample. The only downside to our holiday was the manager as we entered the dining room. He always appeared stressed & seemed to take it out on the rest of the staff who were lovely. Kastos chill out & please appreciate your hard working staff.

We have just arrived home today after a wonderful stay at this hotel, and we would like to share our experience. The hotel is very nice, clean and welcoming. The reception staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. When we first arrived, we were given a room that wasn’t quite what we expected, but after speaking with the reception team, they kindly helped us and moved us to a much better room. We really appreciated their understanding and excellent customer service. Our room was cleaned every day and everything was kept nice and tidy. The food was delicious, with a good variety to choose from. There was plenty of entertainment every day, including live concerts, bingo and performances by the children staying at the hotel with their families. The animation team was fantastic and did a great job creating a fun and friendly atmosphere for everyone. A special thank you to Bogdan, one of the animators. He was absolutely wonderful, very friendly, energetic and always made us smile. He really made our holiday even more enjoyable! The sea is also very close to the hotel, which was a big plus for us. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all the staff for making our time here so pleasant and memorable. We will definitely come back again! ❤️🌊☀️
