Our stay at Barceló Mussanah Resort is absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for the ideal place to stay near Muscat while enjoying everything the Gulf of Oman has to offer, I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. One of its biggest advantages is the marina, which gives you direct access to so many water activities and unforgettable excursions. A special thank you to Abdullah Heidar and Ahmed Nofli, who took us on an incredible trip to the Daymaniyat Islands. It was truly one of the highlights of our stay. They are exceptionally professional, friendly, reassuring, and incredibly flexible. They did everything they could to make sure we had the best possible experience, including giving us the opportunity to swim with sea turtles in a respectful and safe way. Throughout the excursion, we always felt completely safe thanks to their professionalism and attention to every detail. They also prepared a delicious snack on board, which made the experience even more enjoyable. They patiently answered all of our many questions with genuine enthusiasm and shared their knowledge of the islands and marine life. Their kindness and passion made this excursion unforgettable. More generally, I don’t know if this reflects Omani culture as a whole, but throughout our stay we were impressed by the kindness of the Omani people, their patience, their generosity with their time, and their genuine sense of hospitality and customer care. It made us feel truly welcome. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories. We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend both this hotel and the Daymaniyat Islands excursion to anyone visiting Oman!

We had a great weekend stay at Barceló Mussanah Resort with the kids. The resort is very family-friendly, with enjoyable pools, activities, and a relaxing atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi, which made the stay even more refreshing. One recommendation that would make the experience even better is having a private ladies-only swimming pool, whether indoor or outdoor. That addition would truly make this resort the perfect weekend escape for women and families looking for both comfort and privacy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely love to visit again

Saw great offers online and hence planned to stay for 1 day with family having dinner and breakfast on board (half board). I believe location is cool beside the beach but since its Summers here at this time (May) of the year, temperature & humidity plays their part. Lot of swimming pool options with a Water park that adds to the fun. There is a big garden as well. Big space to stroll around in the evening. Grocery store is available for quick purchases. All in all, a great place to stay, eat, swim, play etc etc. If budget is a constraint, visit now else I recon the best time is to visit this resort in winters ;-)

Having worked with and marketed several resorts across Colombo and throughout the wider tour circuit of Sri Lanka for avid travellers, I approach stays with a critical eye. That said, this experience not only met expectations—it exceeded them with ease. The dinner and breakfast offerings were superb, showcasing both variety and quality, with a level of consistency that reflects strong operational standards. The facilities truly elevate the resort. The water park adds a vibrant, family-friendly dimension, while the multiple pools are well-maintained, spacious, and inviting—perfect for both relaxation and recreation. The beachfront views are stunning, offering a calm, scenic backdrop that enhances the overall atmosphere of the property. Our room was thoughtfully designed, clean, and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. From the layout to the finer details, everything contributed to a sense of ease and relaxation. What stood out most, however, was the service. The staff across all touchpoints were warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to delivering a memorable experience. From a seamless late check-out to a beautifully arranged surprise cake for our 10th wedding anniversary, the attention to detail was impeccable. A special mention to Mr. Shafraz and Mr. Saqar Al Hashmi—their professionalism, hospitality, and personal touch made a lasting impression on us.
