This certainly doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. The rooms are small, damaged and the curtains didn’t provide any darkness. We asked for the room to be cleaned two days in a row and nobody showed up. Do not come here if you want to have a quiet relaxing time. Especially not by the pool. The noise levels are simply deafening. Songs and music I can understand, but a random guy shouting through the megaphones for random poolside “entairtenment activities” for half the day was simply unbearable. You cannot sleep at night either, the noise is just too much. The food was the same every single day, no variation at all. And it was mediocre too. The desserts were so sad and plain. The people working at the bars and buffet were very nice and accommodating though. Also the decor was weird full of naked mannequins idk what sort of choice this was. Overall not satisfied. If it was labelled as 3 stars and cheaper it might have been ok.

It is 10pm on our last night and I am currently in the hallway with my 2 year old holding him while he sleeps as there’s a private party at a part of the hotel away from the usual entertainment. The music is so loud our room is vibrating. I can still hear the music in the hallway on the third floor. I went down to reception and rang down to complain but they said there was nothing they could do and suggested talking to guest relations in the morning. This event is scheduled to end at 11:30pm. We would never have booked this hotel had we known the basketball guests would take priority over families. The entertainment by the pool has been too loud and interfered with a relaxing holiday. We could not hear each other from sun bed to sun bed so I asked them to turn the music down. No one wants music blaring at that level while they’re relaxing by the pool. The hotel does have positives - it’s very clean, staff are friendly and food is good. I wouldn’t say food is excellent as the desserts looked much better than they tasted and there was a real lack of vegan or dairy free options. There were 4 vegan dishes each night, sometimes this was a tray of sweetcorn (!). While there’s plenty of salad, none of the sauces were dairy free. When I asked the chef he did give strawberries as a dessert option but this was only for two nights. TUI suggested I speak with the head chef but guest relations only gave me an allergen slip to hand to the staff at the restaurant and they told me all desserts have egg or milk. As we paid all inclusive with so much choice and selection, you’d think they could have made something to accommodate during my 1 week stay. This hotel is not suitable for families with children under 4 in my opinion. The pools are too cold (our holiday was 8/5-15/5). Our little boy was shivering the first two days. The slides are for older children and only on select times of day when the lifeguard is present. The children’s pool has about 12 sunbeds near it so limited space. The soft play was great and staff there really lovely. All other pools are 1.5m depth all around. There’s no shallow end. My sisters in law struggled to stand up in them. I would not recommend this hotel because of the noise during the day and the ridiculous private party that prevented my children from sleep, and how unsuitable the pools are for younger children. I would recommend it for cleanliness. The non vegans in our party said the desserts were often lacking in flavour but enjoyed a lot of the main hot food.

Couldn’t recommend this hotel more when it comes to booking a holiday in Marmaris. The staff were super friendly, the decor was beautiful and the location was perfect! A quick walk down to the beach was super ideal! They serve a great variety of food and drink and the bars give you lots of drink options for the day! Lots of activities and things to do nearby as well as at the hotel - I definitely would return here and I 100% recommend! ☺️

**Update - we spoke to guest relations this morning and they did absolutely nothing. Passed around from pillar to post all for them to act like it isn’t a big deal that my sister had to rock her child to sleep in the hallway last night??!!!! Changing to 1*. Such a shame as our server in the restaurant has been fabulous all trip, he has remembered us every day and will help as much as he can. Ridiculously loud. It’s our last night tonight and there is currently a private party for basketball ??? Guests but the music and microphone is to the point where my room is vibrating!!!! Apparently it is supposed to end at 11.30pm, given that this is a family hotel and I have two young children in my party who cannot sleep, this is mental!!!! Should be a pre warning that they have stupid events like this on before booking because we wouldn’t have stayed here. I understand events, even 10pm. But 11.30pm when the music is so loud I can hear it word for word, vibrating my room on one of the top floors is just unacceptable. It’s been loud every single night but usually stops around 10.45 latest. Tonight is just absolutely ridiculous. My sister in law went down to complain and said they can’t do anything about it - maybe turn the bloody music down!!!!!!!!!! I would not recommend this hotel if you want ear drums and sanity by the end of the stay.

We are currently still waiting for a refund that was clearly agreed by staff at Blue Bay Platinum Hotel. During our stay, we were explicitly told by guest relations Huseyin Murat that we could check out early and receive a refund for the unused nights, provided we stayed a minimum of three nights. We relied on this assurance and checked out early in good faith. Since leaving, the refund has not been processed and communication has been slow and inconsistent. We have had to repeatedly chase for updates, with no clear confirmation of when this will be resolved. This situation is extremely disappointing. Guests should be able to trust the information given by hotel staff, especially when it directly affects their decision to shorten their stay. We would prefer to resolve this directly and give the hotel the opportunity to honour what was agreed. We are happy to update this review once the refund has been completed.
