It was a truly unique experience. We felt very comfortable from the very beginning. Every special request was handled quickly and with great care. Whether at reception or in the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Mini from reception, Roshan and Jasim from the Reef Restaurant are just a few of the names that stuck with us. Amanullah from housekeeping always ensured our accommodation was spotlessly clean and tidy. We sincerely thank all the staff for our very pleasant stay. Only the Italian restaurant failed to meet our expectations. There was a lack of friendliness and a lack of willingness to create a pleasant atmosphere for the guests.

What can I about Machchafushi and the centara team, absolutely fabulous. In particular Richard who looked after us everyday in the club lounge, lovely chap and very attentive. Also Amanulla, our housekeeper with his little touches with towel art in the room and keeping it clean and tidy. For my first experience to the maldives I felt we hit gold with this resort. The accommodation, the food, relaxed atmosphere all so good. Oh and of course the reef and the snorkelling! So much to see underwater. The on site watersport team were also great and thanks to Matt for being patient with us on our intro to scuba experience. Although I'm sticking with 5 stars there was one small blip with the thai restaurant on the island. The staff in there must have been having a bad day as they were not particularly friendly and when we asked for some rice our request was ignored. The food was OK but not great. As opposed the Italian and the Reef buffet which gave fab choice and was amazing. Small blot on an otherwise fantastic place. When I come back to the Maldives Machchafushi will be first destination choice. Thanks Centara.

Having spent a week at this property I can wholeheartedly recommend without reservation. Our over sea villas were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our housekeeper Ibrahim Nassaru was exceptional in attending to our villas at least twice a day and they were kept impeccably clean. The food and beverage service was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. The drinks on offer were premium and the bar staff so attentive. The Food Manager Shervani was so accommodating and he really made my family feel so welcome with nothing being too much trouble. The head chef (A Sri Lankan chap - sorry I forget your name) was also superb. He even took the time to make a special Sri Lankan meal for my family one evening which was truly amazing. Miao from the Thai restaurant was also very helpful and provided us with two exceptional meals (can recommend the sticky mango rice!). The maintenance manager Pradeep was also so welcoming with nothing being too much trouble and taking the time to talk about the resort and teach us a thing or two! Finally I can’t name them all but the waiting staff were always present with a smile and nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you Centara for a truly fabulous vacation.

We had a great 5 days at the Centara Collection Machchafushi island has the best coral en most beautifull diverse fishes. We enjoyed snorkeling. The staff is very personal, friendly and doing their best. Personal Hospitality service we have experienced a lot here on this island. Thank you Sujan and all others for this great experience! Don’t forget the yoga morning class 🧘💫.

We spent a week at this hotel and we loved it! It’s a paradise! The facilities are very comfortable and well maintained. The staff are very kind — they take care of every detail and make you feel special every day. Our special thanks go to our room attendant, Samsul, who was always attentive and surprised us every day with his beautiful decorations. And another big thank you to the Reef staff, especially June, Mayy, Jasim, and Habib. The rooms are cleaned twice a day. There are many options at the buffet, and all the food was excellent. We hope to come back soon!
