We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this resort and everything exceeded our expectations (from start to finish). The welcoming experience was lovely: warm towels and refreshing juice were offered upon arrival, immediately making us feel relaxed and cared for. Check-in was quick and seamless. For those arriving before check-in time, the lounge area is the perfect place to freshen up and head straight to the beach. The staff were incredible — always smiling, greeting us throughout the resort, and making sure every guest felt special and truly looked after. The restaurant experience was excellent: the Chefs prepared a wide variety of delicious dishes, always fresh and beautifully presented, while the waiters were attentive, warm, and genuinely kind. Dining felt like a real treat every day. Cleaning service: 10/10 — rooms and shared areas were spotless at all times. The excursions offered were well-organized, informative, and suitable for most guests, balancing adventure with relaxation. The beach area was a dream: well-maintained, peaceful, and equipped with complimentary towels and sunscreen, which is incredibly thoughtful considering the strong equatorial sun. The reception team was always available and ready to help with anything.. from booking activities to answering questions with a smile. Their efficiency and kindness really stood out. Truly an unforgettable stay - thank you for creating such a beautiful and welcoming environment!

We had a wonderful stay at Cinnamon Dhonveli, a truly beautiful and luxurious resort. The property is stunning, extremely clean, and very well-maintained. The scenic views around the island—especially the crystal-blue lagoon and lush greenery—make the entire experience feel magical. The food was outstanding. Chef Kartik went above and beyond in helping us with baby food and was always there whenever we needed him. His professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness made our stay even more comfortable. Ruth from the Koimala restaurant was also extremely kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our visit. The resort offers plenty of activities that are well-planned and always on time. The staff across the property maintain a highly professional attitude, and their warm hospitality truly stands out. There are great food options, with something for everyone, and the service quality is consistently impressive. Overall, it was a very good experience for us, and I highly recommend Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives if you’re planning a luxury holiday in the Maldives. A must-visit resort!

My friends and I stayed in different room categories and got to really see the difference in how people are treated. The resort made no effort to ensure we had a pleasant stay and could enjoy shared experiences. We were allocated different restaurants (you have to eat at the same restaurant everyday as all inclusive customers). And one time when my friend asked me to join her at the restaurant she was allocated because it was closer to her and she was waiting for snacks - the resort made a scene of it. This felt more like school-like policing rather than the customer-centric service typical of other resorts where staff usually go out of their way to accommodate guests. They wouldn’t even clear previously used tables so you can sit in a 4 person group and just point you to the other corner of the restaurant even if you don’t want to sit there. It’s lazy and again absolutely not customer centred. The food options for vegetarians were limited - I ate basically similar food everyday and also got sick. So much is ‘pay extra’ even for all inclusive - sit by the beach for a meal, get coconut water, get snorkelling gear, basic medication (they wouldn’t give you any at the reception and ask you to wait for the souvenir shop to open in the morning and get it there yourself), eat in any restaurant besides the one allocated etc. Overall, the most subpar resort experience so far. My advice: use the space to create varied experiences. You can have multiple cuisine offerings at the different restaurants (that already have different views) and offer them to all. People are at one resort for multiple days (with no where else to go) and they want to have options for what they can do. If must continue with what you are currently doing, make a genuine effort so people have good experiences - even if a group of friends are in different room categories.

We have just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at Cinnamon Dhonveli, our first time in the Maldives. We stayed in an over water suite with sunset views and it was perfect. The OWS were very spacious, had great AC and fans, fantastic amenities and were of the very highest standard. They are very private and definitely have that exclusive and luxury feel. However, the biggest asset this resort has is the amazing staff. Some shout outs to Akila and Suraj at the Rehendi Bar - Suraj also does the fire show at the beach party - not to be missed! Dilshan at the Sunset bar and the team at Rahuul Surf bar were also brilliant! Our waiters Leem, Ahmed and Latheel at Rehendi restaurant were excellent and the manager, Srimanti was always friendly and made sure everything was ok. The chefs Saha and Khair are definitely worth visiting at their stations. And of course Sattar at the pool was always great fun. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to holiday in the Maldives, we will certainly be returning!

We are a family of three from Poland (husband, wife and our 9-year-old daughter), and we spent a wonderful holiday at the resort in November 2025. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the incredibly comfortable stay. Our Junior Beach Suite was spacious, fresh, and very comfortable. The room was always spotless, and the daily cleaning was excellent. The staff throughout the resort were kind, warm, and always ready to help, which made our time here even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the variety and quality of the food in our restaurant, the fun excursions, and the amazing massages at the spa. The transfer between the resort and the airport was also very smooth and quick—only about 20 minutes. A very special thank-you goes to Mira, the wonderful Island Host at the reception. Without her, our stay would not have been as perfect as it was. Her experience, attention to detail, and deep understanding of everything related to the resort helped us so much and protected us from any unnecessary issues. Mira, greetings from Igor, Daria and Mirka! 😉 We truly recommend this resort and would be happy to return in the future.
