After a terrible stay at our last hotel in Phuket (Thavorn - I’ve reviewed it separately), Explorar was a breathe of fresh air! The staff was so professional (Bee welcomed us late at night and she was so kind!) The room was well designed, spacious, with great views! The pool and breakfast are definitely a highlight, along with the coworking space because yes we did grind a little! We celebrated christmas and it was so good that we decided to stay an extra night :) Overall we so enjoyed our stay there and already so excited to go back , one day!

Lovely staff, nice enough room. Beach is inaccessible during high tide, meaning around a 15 minute walk into town and back again to access the beach. Decent food and has a vegan menu. However, when ordering from the vegan menu we were still served dairy twice. And, while the pasta is on the vegan menu, it contains egg. Lots of activities. I did the rum tasting with Harry which was great. The cocktails I made were amazing and he was very interesting. I actually was the only one who signed up so Harry made me an extra cocktail for free. I also took the Thai language class which was a lot of fun and Bee was a great teacher

A very nice hotel with friendly and attentive staff. From the very beginning you can feel the attention to detail — the scent of jasmine welcomed us at the reception and was also present in the room, creating a wonderful atmosphere. A big plus is that the hotel is adults-only, which guarantees peace and relaxation. Comfortable pillows and a cozy bed make it easy to sleep really well. Morning meditation, an excellent cooking class, and outstanding breakfasts made with high-quality ingredients, all enjoyed without any rush, create a truly relaxed vibe. It’s also very convenient that you can rent a scooter directly at the hotel. A place we would definitely recommend and love to return to.

From the moment you’re picked up at Samui Airport—possibly one of the cutest airports in the world—you’re greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. I stayed in a Garden Pool Villa, which was perfect: spacious, beautifully designed, and completely private. I am very fussy with pillows and mattresses, which were both great at Explorar. The staff were consistently friendly and incredibly helpful, making every interaction feel effortless. The spa massages with Pu were exactly what I needed—calming, attentive, and deeply relaxing. Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a plentiful buffet offering a great variety of options. All in all, it was a wonderfully peaceful and restorative week. Highly recommended!

Really nice hotel and the staff and service was absolutely amazing! They had a lot of good services on the hotel, such as free shuttle to Fisherman’s Village and back every evening. They also had a lot of complementary activities during the days. We tried the pizza making class which was so fun and amazing! The pizza baker and the instructor were really professional!
